We are excited to announce that the Life Science Alliance is now accepting applications for a Bridging Excellence Fellowship for postdocs who will work on joint projects between The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) and Stanford University.

This is a great opportunity to propose your own joint  project between labs at EMBL (all sites) and the Stanford University School of Medicine or School of Humanities & Sciences. Leverage the expertise, technology and training opportunities at two leading institutions, while developing your international profile! Fellows receive a 3 year contract based at EMBL and spend up to one year during this time visiting the Stanford collaborator (multiple visits are possible over the duration of the fellowship).

Funding is provided for:
•        Full 3 year EMBL postdoc stipend (including standard social security and family benefits)
•        A travel and accommodation allowance for visit(s) to Stanford
•        Contribution towards consumables
•        Attending an international conference

Candidates must have obtained their PhD before taking up the fellowship. Researchers who have held a PhD for more than 2 years at the application deadline are not eligible.
