The Language Proficiency Index (LPI) is a kind of the English proficiency tests which is different from TOEFL or IELTS. Counsellors and English Department members of the colleges or universities will recommend the suitable English course to each student on the basis of his or her LPI scores.
The LPI is a two and half hour test that has four parts but no listening. Part I structure; Part II English usage; Part III reading (including summary); Part IV essay.
