When research priorities are being set for science, education, or any other area, the most important question to consider is: How many people's lives will be improved if the results are successful?

（这个开头被我删了，看下面喔）During determining the priorities about researches, one significant problem is always considered by researchers-It is improvement which researches can bring to the human. However, since the source is limited today, the primary elements should be taken into account are not the improvement of human but the imminence level, possibility and funds support. If we pursue improvement at first, the research will be immersed into a dilemma.

To determine the priorities about researches, one significant problem is always considered by researchers. The problem is improvement of human's life which research could bring. However, since the resource is limited today, the primary elements that should be taken into account are not the improvement but the imminence level, possibility and funds. If we pursue improvement first, the research will be immersed into a dilemma.

Firstly, the imminence level of issue to be solved will influence the stability of societies directly. Although there are many topics which may be beneficial to the future human or generations, there are many imminent issues waiting for being solved immediately. For example, the Ground Sea in Indonesia results in many social problems. Many persons lose their home and congregate together. Since the high density of population in one relatively small refuge, many unknown epidemics will impend and spread rapidly. After the adversities, these diseases also threaten many persons’ lives. The governments and institutions should research on a mature succor system to prevent similar disasters which will occur in other nations at once. Moreover, to our expectation, many researchers have started out discovering some innovation in order to forecast the ground sea. Therefore, citizens have a feeling of security from the research. Otherwise, if we focus more on the long-time researches which may bring more benefits to us, the societies even the human will disappear before the results due to their disappointment about their low life level and instable society situation. They might fight each other for protect themselves to live longer.

Secondly, the possibility to realize the goal of research is also an essential aspect to influence the final decision of the topic. Amounts of idea and researches are great, such as the Mars Exploring Rover Opportunity. In ancient, our ancestors also imagined flying in the universe even touching the Mars. Yes, it was great. However, it was impossible for them to begin research because there were no material and knowledge basis for them to establish any system on. While nowadays, on the basis of rockets, the human are able to walk on the moon. Standing on the basis of walking on the moon, it is possible for us to explore the Mars. The NASA even acclaims that they estimate the human will debark on the Mars in 2015. Thus, research is an accumulative process. It demands knowledge, technicians and instruments.

Thirdly, research needs funds to attract capable researchers and advance facilities. Since the technique demands highly if the research is challenging, large amounts of money is required. Take the Theater Missile Defence (TMD) as an example. With the frequent of terrorism's attack became higher and higher, the whole world is overwhelmed in anxiety and upset. All nations want to construct some systems to defend their nation. Nevertheless, little nation take measures. Why? Like TMD, which is being established by American, no matter how efficient it will be, it needs lots of money which other nations are unable to afford with. If we set the priorities on the largest benefits of human, it is undoubtedly one of the most important researches. But in fact, any other nations which attempt to create a similar system is likely to be bounded with not benefit but deficit.

To sum up, we should take the good for the human as criteria to judge whether the research can be put into practice. However, the source today is limit. We should exert effort to maximize the practical benefits. Thus, if we over-emphasize the improvement for human as the priority, the research will cease on the half way for lacking money or basis.
