Many of the world's lesser-known languages are being lost as fewer and fewer people speak them. The government of countries in which these languages are spoken should act to prevent such languages from becoming extinct. 【13】
世界上很多的小语种都快要消失了，因为越来越少的人在使用这些语言。使用这些小语种的国家应该采取行动以防止这样的语言逐渐销声匿迹。

As to the statement of the author, I have a positive opinion. I agree that as some of the languages are losing speakers, the relative authority should take actions to prevent such languages from becoming extinct. My position is well support by several persuasive reasons and instances.  
Firstly and basically, we can see that many languages of the world are
being extinct quickly. There are about 10000 kinds of languages in 1960's, but in 2000 only 3000 kinds left. Many languages have tiny group of speakers. Along with the globalizing of the world, it makes the group smaller. For instance, there are even many languages spoken only in a small nation on a small island. Lacking communication with other nations, their languages are being disappeared.  

Secondly, the disappearance of a language results in the death of a culture, an irreversible loss for human civilization. Every language stands for a distinct culture. We can see that language of Greek stands for the history of Greece, language of Latin stands for the custom and living style of western world, Chinese language shows the wide and broad culture of eastern. Each culture can only be well expressed by the language of its own while other languages can only tell the outside but never go deep into. For example, poem is considered as precious culture in every country, but no matter how perfect the translator is, once the poem is translate into other languages, it loses its soul. In other nation's languages, the poem can never be as charm as before. That is also the charm of the languages. Once a language is extinct, the culture related to this language will never be understood again.  

Last but not least, I agree with the opinion that not only the relevant government but also UNESCO should action to preserve the world's lesser-known languages that are facing extinction. Nowadays in the world, the nation or group using lesser-known language is usually lesser-known nation or group, lacking enough fund and human resource, they may not have strength to take actions to protect their language. Support and help offered from large organization or association is needed for these small groups to make efforts.  

Base on the above analysis, I agree with the option that since many languages are on the edge of extinction, proper action should be taken as soon as possible not only by the related country or group, but also the organization like UNESCO for example. That is the way to reserve culture of the global, civilization of all human beings.
