Topic: what people learn from books is broader than from direct experience.
My answer:
Since I was taught the first word,I have learned a lot from books, which contain the experience and knowledge accumulated by our ancestors over the times and tell the history of development of human beings.Nevertheless,as a human living in the world, direct experience is equally,if not more, important to me.

Books provide all kind of necessary knowledge, which people may otherwise never know as they never try in person. No one is lucky enough to get all the information he needs from his own experience.Nor anyone is energetic enough to do so.Books serve us as a good tutor in showing us the facts that we are ignorant about. Recording on rocks, shells and metals are the primitive types of books,in which humans  recorded their behaviors and thoughts, experience and knowledge. Archaeologists are informed about how our forefather lived, huntered, migrated and evolved with the help of these ancient recording. Or they would never be able to know about all these since they cannot go back to ancient times. In the age of explosion of information,we are lucky to have access to millons of books.Only a few people can afford the expenses of traveling around the world, but thanks to books about their journeys, readers can also enjoy the exotic atmosphere. I am always very interested in Diana, the late Britain princess. But it is impossible for me to get to know her by direct contact. The only way for me to be familiar with her is to read some biographies about her. Without knowledge from books, it is impossible to reach beyond the relatively narrow circle of life and equip oneself with new skills and information that emerge every minute.

On the other hand,if one is contended with what he/she learn from the books and never try to draw knowledge from his/her direct experience,it is miserable bacause he/she give up the chance of being taught by life.First, there is something one can grasp only through personal experience. When a small child learns to talk, he does not refer to a phrase book. Rather,he imitates how his parents or people around him talk. When I learn English, I was told by my teacher that reading English texts were far from enough. I should talk to native speakers and express my opinions in English. It is not only in language learning that practice is of paramount importance. In the realm of science scholars should not be satisfied with what is printed in the classic books but to explore more and correct the existing errors in the classics.Anyway, what is published does not necessarily indicates that this is the truth.Direct expiences from experiment inspires scientists to challenge the established ideas. Second, what one learns from books may be impractical in reality. The world is changing all the time, but even the latest book tell things that happened some time ago. Therefore, learning from personal experience is necessary for us to improve our performance according to the altering situation. When I was doing a summer job in a publishing house, I found that the methods I was informed to treat interpersonal relationship from books  is not effective. Actually, what I learned from my own experience of getting along with my colleagues in the two months' work is much more practical and useful. One of my friends was confronted with the similar problem. When she was working in a bank as a green hand, she found the ways other experienced employees do business are not like what she has learned at university. It took her a long time to adjust herself into the more realistic and efficient way of working in a bank.As a matter of fact, books may contain many useful knowledge, but when employing them into practice,we need to depend on personal experience.
Since books were invented and humans began to record their behaviors and experiece, books have helped us to know more about the exciting planet and prod into many new fields. Without knowledge from books, mankind couldn't have accomplished so much. However,it is also thanks to the notion that lessons drawn from direct expirience are equally important as the world is developing all the time and what is true in the past may be outmoded instantly that human is striding forward while adjusting himself to the realities.

Since I was taught the first word,I have learned a lot from books, which contain the experience and knowledge accumulated by our ancestors over the times and tell the history of development of human beings.Nevertheless,as a human living in the world, direct experience is equally,if not more, important to me.个人觉得,开头方式可以更加客观一点,当然个人经验可以作为论据,但不宜太多对罢

Books provide all kind 复数of necessary knowledge, which people may otherwise never know as they wouldnever try in person. No one is lucky enough to get all the information he needs from his own experience.Nor anyone is energetic enough to do so.不错Books serve us as a good tutor in showing us the facts that we are ignorant about. Recording on rocks, shells and metals are the primitive types of books,in which humans recorded their behaviors and thoughts, experience and knowledge. On the other hand,if one is contended with what he/she learn有时态错误噢 from the books and never try to draw knowledge from his/her direct experience,it is miserable这点词稍有点过,可以用比如impractical bacause he/she give up the chance of being taught by life.First, there is something one can grasp only through personal experience. However,it is also thanks to the notion that lessons drawn from direct expirience are equally important as the world is developing all the time and what is true in the past may be outmoded instantly that human is striding forward while adjusting himself to the realities.
