Nowadays, the connections between people from different cultures and countries are more and more common. This sometimes causes cultural clashes and other forms of conflicts even wars. Some people think that schools nowadays should teach the essential interconnectedness of all human beings for eliminating those conflicts. I'm one of the advocates of this perspective.
  First of all, school, in some ways, is the best place for giving this kind of education. Unlike some parts of the society, schools always accept diversity of cultures and religions. In school, young people with different background are sitting in the same classroom and discussing with each other, by which they can know more about each other and learn to respect other religious beliefs and cultural activities. I used to be an exchange student in a college in Hong Kong, at first I could not adapt myself to the life style there and even had a prejudice against the people there, but I met some local students in class who told me much about the culture and other thing in Hong Kong, their help were useful for eliminating my cultural clash.
  Many conflicts were caused, at least in some degrees, by religious disagreement, such as the brutal and time-consuming war between Israel and Arab league. If they can teach in school the essential interconnectedness of human beings, although it sounds impossible at a short time, the war can be totally eliminated. Today, the world is more and more like a "world village", as a citizen of world, it is necessary for us to learn more about the human beings' interconnectedness. The world citizenship of whoever is lack of this kind understanding will be cancelled.
  Admittedly, the main purpose of education does not focus here. So the school should not forget their duty in other aspect while teaching its student the human interconnectedness. A good way to achieve make such a balance is to provide several courses about other religions and non-local cultures, and to give presentation on this issue frequently if it possible. With the effort made by our schools, children will be able to acquire more information about other people and their beliefs. Then the world will ultimately be peace and compatible.
  Most of us pray for a better world for future. But what we can do to create such a world? There is mission we have to finish ASAP which is to teach our children the essential interconnectedness of all human beings, and teachers will be the primary executors of this mission. A world without misunderstanding, discrimination or prejudice will be achieved.
