In this era of rapid social and technological change leading to increasing life complexity, overwhelming information flood our mind and make us hard to breathe. Nowadays, we can get whatever we want through watching TV or surfing internet. Thus, some people advocate that tourism will soon become out of date, as people can become familiar with a great many places through TV or internet. Nevertheless, it is too extreme to take such a conclusion.

Of course, TV and internet can provide a lot of information. As the technology changing the world rapidly, tourism is becoming more and more different from previous, especially the appearance of internet. People can find whatever they want about a certain visiting place before they are really being there. For example, before I visit China, I can watch the TV about a program of China which is concerned with introduction of Great Wall, Chinese food and Chinese people. After that, I can turn on the computer and visit a few websites about China, in which I can get to know what weather is like in these days, can people there speak English and is there any taboo I have to pay attention to.

However, information can not instead of real tourism. No matter how splendid the TV show is and how brilliant the articles on the web pages are, they only give us a background and a preparation for the journey, because there is something in a real tourism that can not be replaced by other means. For instance, if there is a place famous for its food, so we have to go there and taste it. Moreover, if there is a famous seashore, we have to be there and feel the sand, breathe the fresh air and touch the clear seawater. There are a great number of examples of this series. Thus, if we only stay at home, listening to or watching the tour place per se can not satisfy us, needless to mention the excitement of preparation and expectation, the excitement on the road and the happy mood and relaxation a real tourism bring to us.

In sum, modern media can give us a lot of information about a visiting place before we really go which is very worthy, because people often ignore the importance of learning when taking tourism. TV or internet can be an assistant for tourism, just like an appetizer before main food or a warm up before swimming. But it can not instead of real tourism. [这句不对，应该怎么写？]
