Nowadays, the public always show interest to the scandals-whether in politics, academia, or other areas. In my opinion, the scandals are useful and they can punish some people for their immoral action, to the public, they can focus them to pay more attention to social problems and know what should do and what should not do.

To begin with, the scandals punish the individual of his action, which can attract his attention to his action and correct the personal mistakes. It is a common phenomenon that  there are varies of scandals reported in all forms of areas such as politics, academia, or other areas. For instance, In China, The news sometimes reports that some politicians corrupted in their location, and they accepted many bribes such as money and antiques; in academia, there are some immoral scholars who do not perform their research carefully and seriously, in contrast, they just steal other's scientific research results abjectly, then publish the results in their academic thesis to win the glory; in education, the students cheat in the college entrance exam which is unfair to other students, while teachers ask the pupils for extra money and give physical punishments to their students. We usually hear of scandals of these kinds. Personally, the scandals not only give the people punishments to some extent but also give them some stress and limitations, which would remind people not to do such things above any more.

Moreover, to the pubic, the scandals can focus the people's attention and warn the public of not doing things like that. We should also remember of the politician Lai changxin who was the mayor of Zhuhai and corrupted for several billions yuan in his tenure任职. Our government cancelled this membership of party and citizenship, meanwhile, the policeman was appointed to arrest him everywhere. The incident remind of the pubic to pay attention to these scandals, besides, they indirectly tell the public to resist the lure of money and not to do the same things.

However, not all the scandals reported are beneficial whoever to the individual or the public. Everything has a degree, and the bad effect would turn up if you break out the limit point. We have to admit that each person, inevitably, will make some mistakes, and they have to right to withhold their private things. If we let out someone's scandals without any consideration, it is sometimes an over-punishment to the individual, even worse, he could not bear the public voice and choose of the suicide, thus, a pathetic thing is possible to happen, if so , it can arise the scare of society and threat the stability of society.

To sum up, scandal-whether in which areas can be useful. The report of them can limit individual's action and correct their mistakes, and they can also remind of the public to avoid of these scandals, meanwhile, we should pay attention to the degree of scandals, not all the scandals reported would do good to society.
