Although science and technology today are much more advanced and sophisticated than ever, I really agree with the speaker that no field of study can advance significantly unless outsiders bring their knowledge and experience to that field of study, for the integrity and diversity of the world.
     To begin with, as is known to all, the world around us is a complex system which cannot be thoroughly studied through analytic methods of research in spite of the startling specialization and accuracy of the modern science. To illustrate this point, let us take the progress of economics as an example: economics in the early age just employed several simple analytical tools to deal with the overwhelmingly complicated economic reality, thus the cogence and influence of economics in that times remained very poor for a long time. Since the 1950s, more and more methods from other disciplines such as mathematics, sociology, and psychology etc, had been introduced into the study of economics, and which had propelled it forward so greatly that economics today is becoming a giant in social science for its excellent explanation of the real world. From this example, we can easily see that none discipline alone is capable of telling the truth, for the complexity of the world.
     Moreover, no discipline can step forward without any communication with others, that is to say: every field of study could undoubtedly benefit from the intercourse among different fields thus enjoying great progresses. A familiar example is the program widely used in the academic discussion which is commonly called: storm of brains. According to this unique method, a variety of scholars regardless of his or her background and major, sit together to discuss a chosen subject without any limitation, emphasis or outline, which have bean proved really productive. Well, the efficiency of this method just exemplifies the importance and power of communications, which surly applies to the scientific study.
     To sum up, the speaker proposes a way for every field of study to gain possible progress: in order to discover and understand the real face of the world behind the illusory mask, scientific researches should communicate with other outside fields as well as march forward desperately.
