The following appeared in a memo from the economic minister of the small country Paucia.
'Using a newly developed variety of seed, farmers in our neighboring country Abundia produced 80 percent more rice last year than in any previous year. To increase the income of farmers in our own country, we should encourage them to cultivate this new variety of rice rather than some of their traditional crops. Such high yields of rice will also improve our country's balance of trade by enabling us to begin exporting it.'

正文:
The recommendation endorsed in the argument is that Paucia should encourage farmers to cultivate a new variety of rice as their neighboring country does, through which it will benefit Paucis's balance of trade. On the strength of the invalid evidence, nonetheless, the edifice of the reasoning cannot be well constructed.

First of all, one of the most conspicuous fallacies committed in the argument is a Post Hoc. Put it precisely, the fact that the newly developed variety of seed is considered to as the sole and sufficient evidence to explain why the neighboring country produced 80 percent more rice last year than in any previous year, just because it happened to follow the latter fact. However, alternative occurrences may suffice to explain the increasing production in the neighboring. For instance, perhaps weather condition last year may be suitable for rice growth and harvest; or perhaps farmers in that country sowed more rice seed in the larger farming land chartered by the national government. Even, without using newly developed variety of seed, the booming amount of rice production would possibly happen for the reason of above-mentioned or other reasons I have not refer to. All these case can undermine the validity of the reasoning.

Moreover, another fallacy committed in the argument is called False Analogy. Put it another way, it is assumed that Paucia is the same with their neighboring country in all respects. In fact, dissimilarities between the two countries can eclipse the same limited facets, if any, shared with each other. It is likely that the terrain or weather condition of Paucia are both different from those of its neighboring, which cannot contribute to the enormous planting of rice. Or probably Paucia, noted by its beautiful landscapes, is not a farming-oriented country but a traditional travel-oriented one. Or perhaps, rice is not the staple food of Paucia’s people, and hence planting of rice instead of crops which might be favored by the Paucian is a waste of time, money and labor without any utility. In addition, even assuming the country’s staple food is rice, one cannot deny that there may be other effective and efficient methods or kind of seed can make good sense.

Last but not least, the author falsely assumes that high yields of rice will necessarily improve Paucia’s balance of trade by enabling them to begin exporting it. In fact, some gratuitous assumption is unreasonably drew in the author’s memo, that is, the amount of rice production is suffice to the providing of the everyday consuming in Paucia. Common sense tells that if the rice per se is not abundant and adequate in a country, will they export it in order to make a so-called balance of trade? Probably no! Even if rice is enough produced to export to other countries, is the exporting of rice a sole choice to make the balance of trade? With this consideration, they should assess and evaluate not only this agricultural production but also alternative types of production in the realm of agricultural or even in other extensive realms.

In sum, the argument is not well reasoned and thus lacks credibility. Further investigation and evidence about the agricultural condition in Paucia would be offered to buttress the recommendation in force.

我的意思使是你的批驳更顺畅一点更据说服力,可以在b2段首加个even if owing to using new seed ,farmers in our neighboring country Abundia produced 80 percent more rice last year than in any previous year, such seed is not necessarily fit for Paucia.然后再接着你的论述,我个人感觉是更好一些
