Nowadays, with the advancement of the society, lots of researches are needed and various subjects are calling for more supports, so people are frequently confused by the question which one of them deserves more priorities. In most cases, they resort to the evaluation of the potential benefit resulted from these researches and ponder whether it can improve the public’s lives. But in my point of view, this standard is far more a constructive one to help people make a choice.

Firstly, it is counteractive to just pay attention to the special research which is considered as a one which is going to improve the public’s lives. It seems that nowadays various fields are interacting with other, so any field's development will depend on other subjects' succession. If people just evaluate the practical use to improve the life of people, and just pay attention to several useful researches which can influence people's lives obviously, the result will be that these fields which gain attention will not develop as same as people hope. What is more, the whole society will not benefit from these researches. Taking medicine for example, as first glance, the research of the medicine is so crucial that it should deserve more priorities than any other. However, the studies of the medicine science will not success without supports from chemistry. To illustrate, in order to ensure the accomplishment a perfect research of medicine, researchers should resort to chemical method to destroy or neutralize the disease-carrying microorganisms and construct wonderful environment in laboratory. It is same to the research of engineering. There are numerous achievement are bring benefit for people for they improve the structural integrity of building, roads, bridges. Nevertheless, without the result of mathematical research, how can they gain these achievements? From this point, just resorting to evaluating the potential benefit to the lives, people will not find a constructive answer.   

Secondly, it is true that sometimes the potential result is necessary to be taken in to account, but it is still confused that who can make the insight decision to evaluate the future result of every research. Some may assert that the government can play a great roll in it. But in fact, in some cases, the government may not make a insightful decision. For example, when the Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome AIDS appeared in African, some governments just considered it as a disease afflicts homosexual or poor African, so they did not cast enough money to study its causes and curing method, for they could not see much rewards of this research. However more and more cases were diagnosed, and more and more evidences showed that it is not a limited disease, but a serious one which can influence the whole world. Then governments were motivated to pay attention to it. But if they made decision earlier, thousand people will not lose their lives because of the serious disease. Therefore it seems that even the government can not forecast possible result of the research accurately.

While, I am not suggesting that the potential result of the research should not be taken into account, I am just calling for a superior standard to determine which field deserves more attention from the society. Just as K.Barry Sharpless, the winner of the Nobel chemistry Prize had ever said (I paragraph),” we should face a high degree of uncertainty for the special nature of the research itself, so we call for a higher standard to judge the importance of researches" .In my opinion, several factors should be taken in account when people are about to select, such as the possibility of the research, the affect to other subjects, the proper environment provided to the research as well as the potential benefit to people's lives. Of course, people should spend more time and energy to accomplish these works, but it will make their selection easier, and contribute to the future improvement of people’s lives.

In sum, it is impossible that all of fields gain equal attentions from the society, because the sources, such as the fund and experts, are finite. But just through the future result possibly taken by they research, people can not make a constructive decision, and also may decelerate the rate of improvement of people’s lives

我的第二段的本意是想说,如果只对那些认为对大家有利的学科进行投资,而忽略其他的学科,那这个被重视的学科的发展也会受到限制.
看了你的意见我感觉,似乎应该把他放到第三段去,先说不好判断,然后再说限制性,现在想想,似乎不太贴切.

关于你的提纲,我感觉还是很有层次的,但是有个问题.如何判断科学的长远利益呢?是不是还是会考虑将来有多少人受易呢?那第三个分论点不就游离到论点以外了吗? 想和你讨论一下:)

我是这样考虑的，你第二段的本意我读时是明白的，我是认为：哪些学科对人类有益哪些似乎没有益处，其实是不对的。因为表面看来对人类没用的还是有用，比如你的例子化学作用于医学。就是，其实还是对人类都有益的。所以我在想提纲时觉得从这个角度下手难。可能我和你的先入性不同，我觉得所有学科都是有用的。你可能先做了一个区分。
还有，我觉得题目说得是研究，按学科说不是很好。

我的破题点是“how many’和”life" ,就是人少也该注意。也不只关于生活。所以后两论点分别针对这两点。当然最终还是要受益的，但太远了，我可以忽略到。我觉得一个题目我没有能力把它说到完美，只能自圆其说。

While, I am not suggesting that the potential result of the research should not be taken into account, I am just calling for a superior standard to determine which field deserves more attention from the society.让步地太直白了吧 Just as K.Barry Sharpless, the winner of the Nobel chemistry Prize had ever said (and I paragraph),” we should face a high degree of uncertainty for the special nature of the research itself, so we call for a higher standard to judge the importance of researches" .In my opinion, several factors should be taken in account when people are about to select, such as the possibility of the research, the affect to other subjects, the proper environment provided to the research as well as the potential benefit to people's lives. Of course, people should spend more time and energy to accomplish these works, but it will make their selection easier, and contribute to the future improvement of people’s lives.感觉象是放在开头的段落

In sum, it is impossible that all of fields gain equal attentions from the society, because the sources, such as the fund and experts, are finite. But just through the future result possibly taken by they research, people can not make a constructive decision, and also may decelerate the rate of improvement of people’s lives .

Nowadays, with the advancement of the society, lots of researches are needed and various subjects are calling for more supports, so people are frequently confused by the question which one of them deserves more priorities. In most cases, they resort to the evaluation of the potential benefit resulted from these researches and ponder whether it can improve the public’s lives. But in my point of view, this standard is far more far from?a constructive one to help people make a goodchoice.

Firstly, it is counteractive to just pay attention to the special research which is considered as a one which is going to improve the public’s lives.感觉有点别扭[undue emphasis on perticular research which is believe to bring forth more benefit for people is conteractive to the development of these researches/color]  . 可以不要吧，或者换种说法Nowadays various fields are generally interacting with others,and a field's development will depend on other subjects' succession.这样改可不可以有点绝对 If people just evaluate the practical use to improve the life of people, and just pay attention to several useful researches which can influence people's lives obviously, the result will be that these fields which gain attention will not develop as same as people hope. What is more, the whole society will not benefit from these researches. Taking medicine for example, as first glance, the research of the medicine is so crucial that it should deserve more priorities than any other. However, the studies of the medicine science will not success without supports from chemistry. To illustrate, in order to ensure the accomplishment a perfect research of medicine, researchers should resort to chemical method to destroy or neutralize the disease-carrying microorganisms and construct wonderful？ environment in laboratory. It is same to the research of engineering. There are numerous achievement are bring？ benefit for people for they improve the structural integrity of building, roads, bridges. Nevertheless, without the result of mathematical research, how can they gain these achievements? From this point, just resorting to evaluating the potential benefit to the lives, people will not find a constructive answer. 倒，数学用来干这个？其实数学是个比物理化学之类更好的例子，尤其是基础数学；可以讲讲相对论，弦论等背后的数学有道理,我当时只想使用性了,其实我们用的很多技术,都是源与理论科学的.

Secondly, it is true that sometimes the potential result is necessary to be taken in to account, but it is still confused that who can make the insight decision to evaluate the future result of every research. Some may assert that the government can play a great rollrole in it. But in fact, in some cases, the government may not make aan insightful decision. For example, when the Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome AIDS appeared in African, some governments just considered it as a disease afflicts homosexual or poor African, so they did not cast enough money to study its causes and curing method, for they could not see much rewards of this research. However more and more cases were diagnosed, and more and more evidences showed that it is not a limited disease, but a serious one which can influence the whole world.
