Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student.

Is it ture that education can be truly effective only when it is designed according to the individual needs and interests? In my view, there must be a balance between catering for individual inclinations and giving the younger generation a comprehensive knowledge system, so that we can assure to obtain the main purpose of education.

In the first place, it is very important to consider the interests of students when we designed an educational method. There is a famous saying  : The best teacher is interests. Designing a method which teach students subjects in which they are interested can greatly enhance the learning efficiency .The modern scientific research of learning process have revealed that the interests can stimulate human body to produce some special chemicals which can make human brain to work more effectively and efficiently. We can see many such examples in either celebrities' autobiography and daily life .Talk from my own experiences, I like maths and physics very much while dislike chemistry in middle school, and I do much better job in maths and physics with much slighter effort than in chemical. Thus, considering the academic interests of students is very important to enhance educational efficiency when designing a method.

In the second place, it is equally important to take personal needs into account in educational method. In this era of fierce competition, students, especially college students, become or are forced to pay increasing attention to job market. Therefore, we must provide students useful knowledge which can help them to find a desirable job. We must realize that the pressure from preparing for future career can give students much motivation to study hard. For instance, some my classmates spare every leisure time to prepare for a compute certificate examination in order to find a good job in IT industry. In short , we must consider to provide students knowledge which can help them in future career.

Consequently, to much emphasize on individual study freedom, especially in ealier period of children, can bring detriment to children's learning of necessary fundamental knowledge upon which they will rely to survive in future. We can not give children too much freedom to choose what themselves go to learn because they are too young to make any logical decision in their education method. In this case, we should make a comprehensive teaching method to provide children with a solid knowledge ground for their future studying.

In sum, an effective educational method should  both consider personal needs and interests as well as assuring pupils to acquire sufficient fundamental knowledge for further studying. Any extreme means cannot be practically applied into use and do harm to overall interests of society as a whole. Only through deliberate method we can achieve our goal in every aspect of education functions.

总的看来，论点是“there must be a balance...”，但是文章结构并不平衡；一个方面用两段论证，另一个方面只用一段。我觉得不如把论点改为有保留的同意；或者论点不变，合并2，3段。
