我们诚邀有志于战略管理学研究的博士后研究员加入港理工大学朱琦博士团队,项目固定期限为2年。我们的团队致力于在公司治理与战略领导力领域展开研究。朱琦博士作为核心成员,已在战略管理领域的顶级期刊发表多篇论文。我们目前的主要研究方向是研究各类外部冲击对高管之间以及高管与利益相关方之间互动的影响。我们的研究不仅聚焦于对战略管理学科的理论贡献,也希望为其他学科如语言学、心理学、金融学等提供新的视角。

博士后任务包括协助团队进行数据分析、规划研究项目,并申请外部研究资金。此外,博士后还将参与一些教学和协调工作。

博士后待遇:

1)     研究条件:

a)     研究资源:香港理工大学以及本研究团队拥有丰富的数据库和论文库资源,为研究提供坚实的支持。

b)     论文指导:我们团队拥有丰富的论文发表经验,能够在论文发表过程中提供充分指导。

2)     生活待遇:在香港理工大学,我们为博士后提供可靠的后勤支持。月工资约为3万港币,并额外提供每年3万港币的研究经费。

申请人需要的资格:

1)      技能需求:

a)      数据采集清理处理能力:应具备熟练的R、Python、Stata等数据采集处理工具的使用能力。熟悉文本分析方法,包括NLP、LLM等。熟悉NLP& LLM领域前沿或者经典文献。以下是一些具体的需求举例:

i)       通过高管姓名、性别、公司名字等信息进行跨数据源识别比对;

ii)     通过高管和分析师互动文本分析高管之间以及高管和分析师的互动模式;

iii)   判断评价的礼貌程度,并识别是否存在hatelanguage。

b)     数据统计分析能力:应具备坚实的统计功底。熟悉Panel数据分析方法,以及处理内生性问题的方法,包括2SLS、DID、RDD等处理方式。

c)     语言能力:由于研究结果主要以英文展现,申请人需要具备流利的英文听说读写能力。此外,还要求具备较强的中文能力。具有文献综述和学术论文写作经验的申请人将会有额外加分。

2)      学历需求:该职位为博士后职位,因此申请人需拥有博士学位。我们欢迎各学科背景的博士毕业生申请,不仅限于战略管理方向。经济学、统计学、金融学、语言学等领域的博士毕业生只要符合上述技能要求,均在考虑范围之内。

Recruitment ofPost-doc Researchers (1-2) in Professor Qi Zhu's Team, Department of Managementand Marketing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

We cordiallyinvite post-doc researchers with a keen interest in strategic managementresearch to join Dr. Qi Zhu's team for a fixed project period of 2 years. Ourteam is dedicated to conducting research in the field of corporate governanceand strategic leadership. As a core member, Dr. Qi Zhu has published severalpapers in top journals within the strategic management area. Currently, ourprimary research focus is on exploring the impact of various external shocks onthe interactions among top executives and between top executives andstakeholders. Our research not only contributes to the theoretical advancementof strategic management but also aims to provide fresh perspectives to otherdisciplines such as linguistics, psychology, and finance.

The post-doc tasksinvolve assisting the team with data analysis, planning research projects, andapplying for external research funding. Additionally, the post-doc researcherwill be involved in some teaching and coordination activities.

ApplicantQualifications:


  • Skill Requirements:

        
    • Data Collection and Cleanup Skills: The      candidate must exhibit proficiency in utilizing data collection and      processing tools like R, Python, and Stata. Additionally, desired skills      include familiarity with text analysis methods, such as large language      models (NLP, LLM, etc.), and other related techniques. Furthermore,      knowledge of cutting-edge and classic literature in the field of NLP and      LLM is highly valued for this role. Below are specific examples of skill      requirements:
        

           
      • Cross-data source recognition and       comparison using executive names, gender, company names, etc.
           
      • Analysis of interaction patterns       among executives and between executives and analysts through executive       and analyst interaction text.
           
      • Assessment of review politeness,       and detection of hate language.
          
        
    • Statistical Data Analysis Ability: Proficiency      in statistical data analysis is crucial for this role. Candidates must      possess a solid statistical background and demonstrate familiarity with      Panel data analysis methods. Moreover, expertise in handling endogeneity      issues, including 2SLS (Two-Stage Least Squares) and various DID/RDD      (Difference-in-Differences/Regression Discontinuity Design) treatments,      is required.
        
    • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in      English language skills, encompassing listening, speaking, reading, and      writing, is essential, as the research findings will predominantly be      communicated in English. Additionally, strong Chinese language skills are      required. Applicants with prior experience in literature review and      academic writing will be highly valued and considered favorably.
  • Educational Requirements: This position     requires a Ph.D. degree. We welcome applications from Ph.D. graduates in     all disciplines, not limited to strategic management. For instance, graduates     with Ph.D. degrees in economics, statistics, finance, linguistics, etc.,     will be considered as long as they meet the aforementioned skill     requirements.
