Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student.

I partly agree the author's claim that the only way can make the education truly effective is to meet the individual needs and interests of each student. Admittedly, the individual interests play a very important function with the effective education, however, it is not the only access for us to reach the aim, what is more, and sometimes this view may be harm to the development of the society.

Consider first about the effectively the individual interests make with the education. There are a lot of famous people in the history who receive the success follow the interests. Take the great inventor Edison for example; when he was young, he got a great interest with many objects that are so mysteries in his eyes. With this desire, he invented more than 100 objects which play so important on the history of the development of the society , for example, the telephone and the electrical lights, it is even now that people cannot have a comfortable life without them. Maybe some one consider it as an education by teaching oneself, then, let us take one of the pre-presidents of the US for example, Clinton , as we all know, is a president with great influence in the history of the America. When he was young, he appears great interest in the politics, fortunately, his teacher also attended this characteristic, when Clinton got the first place in the competition of the political talking in school, the teacher went to Clinton’s home and congratulated for him, just because the teacher's encouragement and support, Clinton made more excellent on this aspect and he eventually became the president.

On the other hand, the individual interests cannot be the only way that makes the education effective. For some courses are the most element ones without which people cannot make further development in the future, just like the math and writing, and even sometimes lacking of these element skill can make the success passing by. There was once a famous mathematician who was so excellent in the 90's in the 20 century, he spent much time to justify a equation, unfortunately, his result cannot be accepted with the others for his expression was so obscured that no one can understand it , however, with a revision for several month, he got the Nobel Prize that year. Another famous scientist in the 20th century, Einstein, also had to make a compensation for the math with his friends when he found he could not make any development on the development of the universe because he had not enough knowledge on math.

Furthermore, the addressing as the author claims in the text can also sometime make harm to the society, especially to the young.  When people are young, they do not have complete ability for distinguish what is correct or not, sometimes it can be accounted for the so rapid changing of the world which make the theory of the young’s out of the mind. In this case, if we still follow the author's suggestion, there may take the world a great disaster, take the Second World War for example, the German make a serious suffering for the whole world just for the education at that period catering to the interest of people who have the narrow patriotic mind.

In sum, the effective education can be depended on the individual interest, however, we cannot put the whole hope with it, we also need to find other dressings that can stimulate people to learn the new knowledge and make sure that they will not ignore the element skills and will not go out of the ethics.
