Issue8:
It is often necessary, even desirable, for political leaders to withhold information from the public.
——————————————————————————
The honesty is considered as an important characteristic of political leaders. However, there is still an acute debate over the problem whether it is necessary for political leaders to withhold information from the public. Some people insist that leadersshould not open everything to the public, while others claim that it is not wise to do so. In my opinion, to some extent, political leaders should hold back the information. Nevertheless, it will bring about some problem if we always follow it as a rule.按你的意思,就是不应该hold back the information 了?那前一句为什么还to some extent 感觉你自己的观点表达的不明确
Admittedly,为什么又用admittedly 这儿不是让步阿? it is not necessary, even not practical for political leaders to provide every information without withhold. For some essential secretes of the country, there is no reason to force the leaders to reveal them to the public. For example, if the police are going to catch an important international criminal with a undercover action, once the political leaders open the plan of this action to the public the target person may easily escape from the hunt. Then the police may suffer a loss and the criminal can continue his or her guilty without the punishment of the law. Furthermore, to share every news with the public may disturb the steady order of the society and lead to a mass Forbecaue ofsome small problems which can be solved by the government, it is not necessary to disclose them to the public.最好举个例子不然没有说服力 As there are always some people with no good purpose to exaggerate the problems to bring about a panic, it is a better idea to hold back these small troubles.
However, we can never always allow the political leaders withhold the information. A political leader without any honesty may easily fall into corruption. Without the supervising of the public, the officials may use their power to gain illogical interest for themselves. If we permit them to keep back any information as they wish, it is impossible to keep eyes on their behavior. Under this circumstance, we can hardly prevent the corruption to occur. What's worse, withholding information like large disasters such as earthquakes and serious infections will impede the public to get ready for the problem and response promptly. We can never forget the pain and loss we suffered when the SARS stroke China. The government kept back the information at the very beginning of the disease’s spreading, which delayed the necessary defense toward the infection. If we had been informed earlier about it, the situation might be better.
The concealing of the information may also lead to the weak policy of the government. It is important to adopt people’s suggestion before the government establishes a policy. If the political leaders keep back everything, there is no access for the public to know about the real situation of the country. Therefore, the advice of the public is not available, which in turn will result in the prejudice of the policy set down by the government
感觉没写完似的
你在论述每个分论点时,论证得不错,语法错误很少。感觉你整体的立场不是很明显,虽然你要表达的意思可以明白我的建议是将nevertheless那句去掉,三个body, 开头为 on the one hand, on the other hand, furthermore, 仅供参考。 楼住加油吧!!有空的话帮我拍拍这篇
