Most people are taught that loyalty is a virtue. But loyalty—whether to one's friends, to one's school or place of employment, or to any institution—is all too often a destructive rather than a positive force.

Is loyalty a virtue as most of us are taught but indeed a destructive rather than positive force to society as the speaker assert? Admittedly, over emphasis of loyalty make result in some troubles toward the willing of harmonious development of the society. However, it is unreasonable to extend this claim to all fields.

[忠诚必不可少的]
To begin with,  loyalty means inner respecting and the one of the fundamental responsibilities we should take to all objective. In this sense, loyalty is not only necessary but indispensable virtue we should obey to. Without loyalty, couple will distrust each other and cause the break of the family, individual will feel isolated from the community because none will tell him/her mind, and even the society will go distort which based on the loyalty of the army, for the security -- top priority of a nation --will disappear without the loyalty of arm and governors. Therefore, loyalty, to other words the inter- trust and believe to friends, family and community  plays a crucial role in the stability of prosperity of the society, no one can deny its influence upon individuals.

Secondly, loyalty is frequently a constructive and positive effect in modern society rather than destructive one as the speaker assert. With the strength of business toward individual's value, it is admitted that nowadays distrust and cheating is exist in almost every filed. During the pursuing of individual interest and benefit, loyalty and even moral principle are often ignored. That might be the possible reasons for the debate of  the speaker . However, it is a temporary phenomena and won't stand the securitization of history. In the realm of politics, politic leaders with high moral quality and be loyal  to his/her proponents as well as his nation will earn reputation and the public's respect, which will enhance his/her background during election. In the realm of academic research, motivated by  loyalty to the spirit of science exploration--  pursuing and insisting the  truth -- , professors and researcher will eliminate fabrication of experimental data and plagiarism of other's papers,  in which case will promote the advance of the science. Therefore, loyalty is indeed a priceless pressure for human, which in long run will lead us to the success.

Admittedly, over extend of loyalty can some time disturb and cause some troubles. It is sometimes evitable for some people to hold this virtue, such as the police of FBI who are sent abroad to work while collecting secrete information of other nations. No one can imaging what will happen if these polices be loyal to there employers-- other nation's government. What is more, for  human natural  we are more motivated to pursuing some practical fields that  are fascinating, but  may be in other companies, for instance. Suppose over emphasis of loyalty to his/her original company are took, there is no doubt this individual's talent and genius are decreased. Therefore, we cant extend overdue loyalty to any field and aspect.

In sum, loyalty is an invaluable loyalty and the most basic personality of us. Though to some extent overdue may cause trouble to the smoothly development of society, besides , we should hold and keep this good personality to promote the prosperity of the nation.
