Our life has gone through great changes since the video camera came into being,which provides a totally new and different way of recording life to the traditional written methods.Instead of writing or painting,video camera can provide an more accurate and convincing record of our comtemporary life.We can see the great effect of video camera has made it more important form of documentation than written records.But we can not ignore other advantages belonging to written records.

Compared with written records,video documentation is much less influenced by the one who took record and the one who interpret it.In the past,it is very important for an interpretor to put all his or her heart in the conversation.Because if he or she can not do that they will not manage the job well,everything is live and the only way that it is be recorded is the recorder or interpretor,if they missed something important,that will never come again.Instead,video documentation will never miss anything included important things.Video can record everything live,you can see whatever has been recorded by video camera.That is the advantage of video documentation which written records do not have.

Another conspicuous advantage of video records is its integrity.For example,one live football game is going on now,if there is no video camera,the only way to record the game is the write down all the details of the game,of course if you want to see some wonderful shots you just can read the records of the game,it is not enough for you,the game was just recorded partly.Instead,when you use a video camera to record the game,you can absolutely watch the game for the beginning to the end just like you were there watching the game.

Yet it is rash to say that video camera has already won over traditional written documents and become the new domination of documentation field since video record is limited in several aspects.Video camera is an expensive assumption for many families.Most people in developing countries can not afford to buy it.Without electricity video camera are useless.So the condition using video cameras is limited in some aspects.When you are having a jouney in some country,if you haven't take enough batteries on you it is possible that you can't make video documentation you want.Maybe you will miss some wonderful scenes.Because video camera is expensive,you will be distracted by looking after it to avoid stealing.But if you use written records,you will never to worry about the batteries,the price and the media itself.
