3． 研究结果的争议暴露了研究的问题，可以促进研究的发展；研究的争议使更多的人参加到研究中来，推动了研究的发展。
4，对研究的投资要量力而行，否则会带来巨大的资金负担，得不偿失。IBM为了研究大型软件的可实现性，投资大量，但是，研究没有成功，为IBM带来了巨大的经济损失。
The speaker asserts that money as long as spent on research is always a good investment. It is no doubt that a great deal of researches was successful caused a lot of controversy before their result opening. However, in some times, many researches were indeed doubt. The speaker overestimates the research comparable. But in some extent, I tend to the speaker in the following reasons.
First of all, before the results of these researches were opened, we cannot know how the result was. In this case, anyone cannot say this research was forth to invest whether or not. Only the result can tell us it is a good investment or not. Just look a round; there is a great deal of examples to account for. We once think people can walk on the moon was an unrealizable even a joke. At that time, populaces did not believe the project of the walking on moon is a good investment until the day mass saw their dreams were coming true. This fact tells us that before result was opened, we cannot deny anything which we believed a flaw.
Secondly, even if the result was not good enough compared with the populaces thought, we cannot simple deny it. In human's history, what happened that lots of researches were failures. But different individual has different views on the same matter as time goes by. As we known, Columbus led his ship crews discovered the American continent. As we see in the contemporary era that this is an important discovery in the human ' history, while as it was seen a failure at that time because he did not achieve his gold that transport many future from Indian. In one sense, maybe it is a failure. But he was memorized by the following generation, result in he contribute for human-being. If we only see his work was controversial by mass rather than his achievement, we did not invest in it, may be we cannot discovery the American continent until many years after.
Thirdly, controversial by individuals can attract more populaces ' attention in this research. Due to these individuals, we can discovery many flaws in these researches, so that making much progress in this research. For one individual, he or she cannot make a matter perfective at all aspects. When he or she perceived a new project, it would have a lot of flaws even mistakes. In virtue of the group or mass, he or she can modify this project in order to enhance its opportunity to carry out. Meanwhile, this controversial can accelerate the development of this project.  
Of course, investing any research must do according to the government or company’s abilities. Otherwise, either of them cannot get anything but at a loss. As an illusion, the company IBM invested a great deal of money and manpower on study large-scale software to carry out, this investment overruns its abilities. However, it was defeated and loss disastrous 惨重.So we must do any research according to our abilities.      
To sum up, judging by these reasons, we cannot believe any research was not worth investing before we knowed the result.
In most cases, the controversial research can bring out a new discovery and let us learn focus on some flaws. So these researches were necessary and desired. We cannot say “no” to them. Spending money on them is a good investment.

首先，可以界定什么叫good investment, 和controversial.
其次，在一般情况下， 研究投资是有价值的，可以论证
再次，研究投资即使是在controversial results的情况下也是good investment。
我这种逻辑是否合适。树个靶子，大家批，像这样的论题如何论述。楼主的思路是个好思路，但是各个段落的逻辑还有待进一步的推敲。
