So much is new and complex today that to looking back for an understanding pf the past provides little guidance for living in the present.

  In resent days, many discussion focus on the topic: "Is that useful to study history for better lives today?" Many persons thinks that the modern society is out of range considered with the past historical views, but from my point of view, I insist that looking back an understand the past is a proper way for us to live a happy live in the present.
  Admittedly, nowadays the society is more complex and new than every period before. The modernization, which is thought to be a significant revolution in the human history, was not easily predicted by the ancestors. So in the foregone books and materials, it is hardly to lay hands on the accurate description of why the things happen, how to deal with it and what the result would get. Inflation, ecosystem destruction, unemployment, government and community can not obtain ready-made answers from the history books, which seems incapable of solve so much difficulties.   
  However, history can repeat while the situation is similar and the precondition is satisfied, especially in individual affairs. The human history is just like a story book full of struggling for the freedom and happiness. When one open the preface, he or she would possibly discover that there were sufficient analogical precedents, resemble unwieldy dilemma happened in other ones. From the previous experiences, one can make a sound determination to a certain question.
  Besides avoid committing fallacies done by ancestors, people can get a achievement through getting a profound understanding of history. The L.A. Lakers basketball team is a typical example. When Kobe, an inherent basketball player, was selected into the Lakers team, he was so excellent that other teammates could not catch the pace with him. The game turned to be the personal show by Kobe, which help little to the success of the Lakers team in the NBA playoffs. Phil. Jackson, the temporal Lakers coach, criticized Kobe for his selfish play and provided him with the example that Chicago Bulls-the six NBA champions team: Despite Michael Jordan was the leader, he did not just importune the teammates for sacrifice, but pass the ball to the fittest person who can get points easily, which made up a harmonious atmosphere for all the players to exert all the powers in the game. After the change of Kobe, in the way of picking up MJ’s logic: “no ask for more, go pass the ball”, Lakers has won three NBA titles in the sequence years.
  In general, while some people would still unconvinced by my argument, the analysis I present above would at least make them notice the significances that the history, which regarded as the “mirror” of the past, could provide lots of pragmatic advices and rational methods to disposal of  some complicated situation utilized by others before. There is little controversy that the issue should be shifted from a discussion whether it should be done to how it could be done.
