my position:在保护文化传统这一方面，政府应对城市和乡村给予同样的财政支持。
B1，文化传统既发源于城市也存在于乡村
B2，当今社会，无论在城市还是在农村，传统文化都受到了极大的威胁
B3，因此，为了保持文化传统，对城市和乡村均给予财政上的支持是必要的，进而提出一系列的保护措施。
结论：必须对城市和乡村均给予充分的关注与财政支持，单独关注任何一方对于问题的解决都是于事无补甚至背道而驰的。

2,城市易受全球化的影响,流动人口不利于文化传统的发展
3其他的问题:有些小地方保留了文化传统,需要政府资助;在某些生活水平不发达的城市,有关生计的问题更需要政府资助;保护文化传统,光靠钱解决不了问题,还需要诸如政府政策等手段加以调节.

交作业啦，不过迟了些：）
B1：政府的确应该为此做点事情，应给予一定的支持
B2：支持应该分清对象，不同的tradition有不同的价值，对于历史价值和现行价值都高的应予以保护
B3：政府的支持不应过分，不然反而会适得其反
B4：与农村对比，主要城市自己有能力承担，而农村没有，所以政府如果支持城市的发展，也同样应该支持农村。

Governments must ensure that their major cities receive the financial support they need in order to thrive, because it is primarily in cities that a nation's cultural traditions are preserved and generated.

The speaker claims that government should fund their major cities in which the nation's cultural traditions are primarily preserved and generated. Whether the nation's cultural is mostly kept in the big cities? Different people will hold different positions. In my view, I do not tend to agree with the speaker's assertion. And big cities of the nation play an unimportant role in preserving and generating the nation's cultural traditions. My argument will be supported by the following discussions.
To begin with, big cities are easy to impact by the trend of the whole world. Going by the explosion of the information, such as the satellite transformation, the Internet, and so on, the cultural-exchange of big cities of different counties became easier and faster. A new fashion emerges in one certain large city; (city, soon the major cities of the whole world will be popular with that fashion. So the characters of big cities are vulnerable.
What is more, as the procedure of globalization, big cities of different counties have (has becoming same to each other gradually. For instance, you can find KFC, and McDonalds in almost every big cities, regardless which are from west or east world, and the chicken from there tastes the same. Another compelling example has to do with the automobiles running in the streets. In every big city, most of the cars are produced from the same companies, like Fort, Honda, BWM, and so on. The other band of cars is very few, if there are any. In addition, certain younger in the big cities of Asia colored their black hair into yellow, so one of the Asian's character vanishes. Just look at the cars in the city, you cannot tell exactly it is in Now York or in London. Thus, major cities of one certain nation show little the nation's unique aspects, and they are not the major places to preserve and generate the nation traditional characters.
In sum, major cities of a nation do not have much to do with the nation's cultural. The government should not give the cities financial support for the reason to enforce the nation's tradition's protection.
