Henry, my friend whose major is chymistry granduated last year. After working a year in his company, he hates the job, and he tolds me that he does not like the chymistry. Even in the university, he wanted to change his major which is failed for many reasons, such as that the management of the university and the complication of doing that. Now, he is much frustrated by his education. So according to the statement above and Henry's experience, I strongly proposes that education will be effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individal needs and interests of each student as the purpose of education is to bring out the best of everyone.

Firstly, interest is the best teacher. Student-centered education can most effctively involve individual students in the learning process. One could not likely to find two same leaves in the world, so is to the man. A person has his own disposition and interest that would not equvalent to any other one. Favoring quiet and introvert in his life, one would more likely be interested in research which needs staying alone and industrial work. At the other hand, one would prefer to participate in sprorts in as much as his mobility in disposition. In my opinion, interest and indigent exploration would eventrually lead to one's success, however, the premise should be that the person's job attracts him or her very much. Education should take into account the students' different in interests and needs, only on this base could we find that education would be truly effective.

Secondly, the traditional education ignores the individual needs and interests of each student, which proves counterproductive. A recent investigation conducted at a university by officials indicates that 46 percent undergraduates are suffering from mental problems which are in different degrees. In the 46 percent of students, the cause that students do not like their major take a part of 75 percent. No interest in their lessons, most of the students choose not to attend the class but waste time on drinking or network games. As a result, they would not suitful to the demand of the sociaty, and the purpose of education would be doubted because of these students.

Adimittedly, winking at students' unreasonable desires would only result in chaos in education. Thinking of the case that one who studys history would like to change to the research of mathematics. The reason that he now be entranced with mathematics could lead to the changement? I do not deem that it would be appropriate bacause there are many basis subjects which are necessary for further reserch in mathematics for the student to learn. Maybe it would take a long long time to accomplish the objective of this student, which would be unreasonable in the practise.

Nowadays, more and more people have chances to receive education. To give the children-the future of tommorow an effective education, the pedgogue should take over the interest and need of student which would bring out the best devolepment of everyone and correspondly accelebrate the progress of our society.

I partly agree with anthrax.
The structure and stences of this issue are shallow, I am affraid.
The stences like  "He hates the job" are too simple. Perhaps "He is not happy with or even detest the job" would be better. :)
