大家都来看这道题，难道我们的理解一直错了？

85"Government funding of the arts threatens the integrity of the arts."
我查了精华区，我们所有的理解好像都是：
政府对艺术的资助威胁着艺术的完整性。（大体是这样）
但是今天无意中我把鼠标放在arts上，解释竟然是：文科
然后我查了webster中关于arts的解释，没有专门的关于arts的，在art中有，解释如下：
Main Entry:           art
.......
1......
2 a：a branch of learning:(1):one of the humanities[U](2)plural:LIBERAL ARTS[/U]  b archaic:LEARNING,SCHOLARSHIP
3......
4......
看释义2中的a（2），这样看来，arts 确实就是文科的意思
强烈建议大家都去查一下，一定要把这个问题搞清楚，因为我去年作文写的就是这道题，当时感觉issue和argu写的都不错，结果怎么也没想到只得了3.5。现在想来很可能真的是理解题目就错了。

去查了一下，确实是这样的，而找了一下精华区里面的讨论和习作，确实也都是把arts看成是艺术的。

但是，integrity可以用来形容文科吗？而且，是否arts subject 才是更明确的文科的意思呢？

鬼谷子说得对：）看这两道题：
131 "The arts (painting, music, literature, etc.) reveal the otherwise hidden ideas and impulses of a society."
158 The arts (music, dance, visual arts, etc.) are vitally important to students' education and should therefore receive as much emphasis as mathematics, science, reading and other mainstream subjects."
这两道题中都是用的arts，说明了arts的含义。不过好像在他们的文化中，文学，包括诗歌，散文，小说，戏剧，本身就是艺术的一大类。而对于中国人好像很少这么分的，其实在探讨艺术的时候可以举很多文学的例子的：）
