It is no doubt that the work of arts always gives our society some everlasting value. And therefore the creator the works, artists are received highly reverence all the time. But at the same time of revering the artist, we should ignore the roles of critics, without whom, I believe, we cannot appreciate so much valuable arts.

Admittedly, to be the creator of the lasting valuable arts, the artists should be honored and paid much attention without any doubt. The artists are outstanding intelligent and transcendental talented persons, who is sensitive to the slight changes of the society and reflect their attitude or minds of the society in their products with sophisticated method that render us appreciate the beautiful scenery depicted in the artwork and the insightful views conveyed by the works simultaneously. Just as the organic joint of views and the outer entity make the art works can experience the test of history. We have to give tribute to the artists who create the lasting value. In this world there is seldom lasting things besides arts, by which people can edify their mind, bear burdens, lessen tensions and overcome frustration. The arts, acting as "pacifier", inject a light note into our high-pressure life making all of our sadness, tiredness and worries disperse like smoke.

However, it is absolutely improper that if we pay too much focus on the artists rather than realizing the effects of critics putting on the society. Just as what I said above, the artists are talented persons at any time, whose minds and thinking surpassed any other people living at their time. Yet to be the assessor of the artwork, we common people would confront with numerous problems in the process of appreciating the perpetual valuable works. We need a medium connecting the artists and us. Critics just play such role in our process of evaluating the art works. Lacking such kind of person even the most exceptional artist's work will be neglected. The famous artist Van Gogh is a good case in point. Although Van Gogh's works are worthless nowadays, at his time no one give tribute to his work and the public always treated him as a common artist. Struggling with self-depression several year, he chose to commit suicide eventually. If we had had intelligent critics who can realize the insightful and meaning views immersed in his work, we would have more valuable works to appreciate.

The last but not the least, both of the two kinds of persons contribute to our society. Ignoring any one of them we will make a unbelievably immense loss. On the one hand, the critics make great effort to lead common people to appreciate the outstanding artwork in the proper way. On the other hand, the artists can also acquire the feedback of their works, which lead them to improve their works to make more lasting valuable works. They are not competitive but cooperative. By the joint effort we can have more excellent artwork.

In sum, given the reasons above, which sometimes intertwine to an organic whole and more persuasive, we can safely draw the conclusion that both of the artist and critics are crucial in the process of creating lasting valuable things to the society.

我的语言也不好，不能提什么意见，但是从结构上说，楼主是不赞成题目的吧，但是通篇都没有怎么提到critics的正面作用。第二段用梵高的例子否定了评论家，不能支持你的论点，建议将第三段作为重点，充实展开。
