Location: Shanghai/Shenzhen Report to: Professor Department: Department of Strategy/Entrepreneurship and Department of OBHR, China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) Work Type: Full-time
Job Responsibilities: The China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) is seeking a highly motivated full-time Research Assistant to join a research team to support the research and teaching programs. The position will be based in Shanghai or Shenzhen, with a flexible start date in mid 2025 (ideally September).
Job responsibilities mainly include but not limited to the following:
Research Assistance (main): 1. Support research projects in the areas of strategy, entrepreneurship, organizational behavior, and human resource management. 2. Manage data collection and analysis (quantitative and/or qualitative). 3. Conduct literature reviews and assist in preparing research summaries and reports. 4. Coordinate and organize the logistics of ongoing research projects.
Teaching Support: 1. Assist with course development and instructional material preparation. 2. Support classroom activities, including MBA and EMBA class logistics, scheduling, and communications.
Job Requirements: 1. Recent Ph.D. graduates, current doctoral students, master’s degree holders, or undergraduates with research experience in strategy, entrepreneurship, management, organizational behavior, psychology, or statistics.
* Master’s graduates planning to pursue a Ph.D. (especially overseas) are highly encouraged to apply. 2. Proficient in quantitative research methodologies, including designing surveys and experiments, collecting and analyzing data (e.g., structural equation modeling, regression, multilevel analysis) and conducting causal inference (e.g., Difference-in-Different, Regression Discontinuity). 3. Experience with analysis software such as SPSS, STATA, SAS, MPlus, and/or R is highly preferred. 4. Excellent English and Chinese reading, writing, and communication skills. 5. Ability to commit to the role for at least 1-2 years. 6. Experience with AI prompting and AI-related coding is highly desirable.
