Google Blog上最新公布了一个网络加速软件Google Web Accelerator。GWA可以通过多种途径增加网络访问速度：

- 通过Google服务器来发送页面请求
- 储存经常访问的网页
- 只下载页面被更新的部分
- 事先预读取特定的页面
- 选择连接类型减少网络延迟
- 在向你的电脑发送前对数据进行压缩

Google Web Accelerator可以同时支持IE和Firefox两种浏览器。试用下来，对网页的浏览的确有些效果，但是它的工作方式却让我太不放心了。“通过Google服务器来发送页面请求”也就是说，Google将知道所有你所要访问的网页；“事先预读取特定的页面”也就意味着增加了用户受到恶性代码攻击的危险。

Google前几天推了储存搜索历史的功能，现在又通过Google Web Accelerator想要记录用户所有网页访问纪录。用户的使用习惯的确是网络公司最宝贵的资源，不过Google这样的巧取豪夺，未免有点不厚道了。

现在就去试用一下吧，可以访问很多你以前访问不了的网站，嘿嘿

Google Web Accelerator 使用注意事项

Google Web Accelerator 能对浏览速度有些提高，尤其国外访问国内的网站快了很多

但是请大家使用的时候要小心信息保密，注意一下几点

1. GWA 不适合拨号用户
2. GWA只能提高浏览速度，对下载速度没有任何影响
3. GWA不对 secure (https://) page加速（原因自己想...）
4. 你在非加密页面上输入的信息都会经过Google的Proxy. 建议大家在非加密的页面(所有http://)上输入关键信息的时候，如信用卡号码等，关闭GWA
