I agree with the speaker insofar as that in politics and the arts observation is subjective.
However, observation in science is objective. Moreover, whether observation is subjective or
objective depends on a case-by-case analysis in different spheres of human beings.

When it comes to politics, subjective observation plays a major role. Politicians need to
deal with numerous relations between individuals, organizations, communities and countries.
In the process, politicians often play the role of observers. They are entailed to manage
various relations by the aid of their own subjective observations, which was found on
their own expectations or desires. If they would like to handle relations at hand in a
positive way, their observations tend to be positive even if a majority of their followers
have a passive observation; if they would like to handle relations at hand in a
courageous way, their observations tend to be courageous even if a majority of their
followers have a cowardly observation; if they would like to handle relations at hand in a
determined way, their observations tend to be determined even if a majority of their
followers have an irresolute observation. History is full of examples of this point. Churchill
observed England would achieve victory "at all cost, victory in spite of all terror, victory,
however long and hard the road may be" at a moment in May 1940 when all seemed lost;
Reagan observed a universe in which the Soviet Union would rest on the "ash-heap of history"
at a time when the conventional wisdom thought such a possibility outlandish; the first Bush observed  
Saddam out of Kuwait when many in the Congress were reluctant to fight the dictator's
aggressive power grab. In short, politician need subjective observation.

In considering the artistic world, subjective observation is life blood to artists. What
makes art? What makes painting distinguished from photograph? What makes
music distinguished from low? What makes writing distinguishing from instruction? In
my view, what makes art a lofty and popular stuff is subjective observations of artists.
In comparison to a dull and dreary photograph, a painting creates a representational
and abstract picture derived from the painter's subjective observation; in comparison to
a plain and explicit low, a music creates a "mental image" of the musician's subjective
observation; in comparison to a mechanical and insentient instruction, a writing creates
the emotional sincerity of a writer's subjective observation. In brief, subjective
observation creates art and artists.

When it comes to scientific world, scientists' findings and creations could hardly be
separated from their objective observation. Science is the study of the physical world
and its manifestations, using objective observation and experiment that is based on
objective observation. Without objective observation, there are no statistics and
phenomena required by science; without objective observation, science is just a pile
of fanciful notions that cannot be testified by practice. It is scientists' objective
observation that oil the scientific wheel to move ahead. For instance, Newton devised
the law of universal gravitation in that he carefully observed the phenomenon of apples
falling from trees; Galileo have shown his students the error of Aristotle’s belief that
speed of fall is proportional to weight by climbing the Leaning Tower of Pisa and
observing two objects of different weight dropping simultaneously.

In sum, neither subjective observation nor objective observation could account for all
phenomena of the world. Instead, which kind of observation has been made should
be made on a case-by-case basis.

I agree with the speaker insofar as that in politics and the arts observation is subjective. 我不知道这样写行不行,我的感觉是有点唐突, in so far 的分类放在后半句较好.However, observation in science is objective. Moreover, whether observation is subjective or
objective depends on a case-by-case analysis in different spheres of human beings. 既然你前面已经分类了, 那后面再这样写我就不太理解了!!通常是后面那句话再文章开头提出, 以示人你要分类界定, 后面再讲界定法, 或者是直接用复句解决问题. 你这样的开头我认为不太合适.
