选c也不是主语从句的，是定语从句
many of + 限定词 + n复的结构也没有什么不对的

A,C的语法上讲都没有错误
不选C的原因不是语法而是逻辑
因为不是所有区分人和动物的特点都与the ability of people to stand upright and walk on two legs 有关，比如系统化的语言之类的

所以选A

ps:就好像写作时，不用must要写might就是为了保证逻辑上的严紧性
