Publicly owned wilderness areas, wild places always far from urban, plays an significant role in human beings’ life, in that it does have close relationship with economy and climate and thus worth being protected. Preserving publicly owned wilderness areas in natural state is not only the responsibility of governments, but also need efforts of everybody.

On the one hand, public wild areas worth being protected for two reasons. First and foremost, it holds on various species, which contains high researching value. The species are not diminishing dramatically at the speed of nearly 4 kinds per day, let alone with the demolishment given by people. Secondly, wild areas are likely to accommodate climate and atmosphere through something like rainfall using the its plant. The more wild areas are destroyed, the worse whether may turn out to be. In a word, public wilderness areas has so many advantageous that it is worthy of preservation.

On the other hand, wild areas is liable to be effected by human being’s performances, no matter it’s near or far. As technology develops fast day and day, there are hardly any places that people can not reach, especially in nowadays. And they, human beings, are greedy enough to kill elephant for teeth, to catch foxes for skin and even to disforest for timber, which is just happen in publicly owned wildness areas. These can easily destroy the wild and remote places. Hence preserving publicly owned wilderness areas in natural state becomes necessary.

Indeed, government proves to be a most effective way when preserving the wild areas belonging to the publics. The law is a useful tool. For instance, American government makes the Wilderness Act in 1964 for preserving publicly owned wilderness areas. In addition, many countries set up special protecting areas like China’s Chang baishan protecting area, devoted more by the governments, and thus brings the wild areas better protection. Governments can devote more capital and technology, or even forcible strength to better preserve the wild places.

Moreover, it calls for everyone’s strength to protect the public wild areas. To remote areas, people should comply with the laws and never go for hunting or lumbering there; to places near us, people would better be more careful to protect things there and conform to natural regulation. It has done well in some countries such as America. Take Yellow Stone Park for a striking example, which was once wildness area and finally becomes a famous natural park. It is well known for its spectacular natural beauty. As it located in a city full of people being visited by mass of people each day, the natural beauty in the Yellow stone park may not keep if not for the protecting from everybody in the city.

Without the protection from government, the wilderness areas may easily be destroyed by unrestrained people; without the efforts made by everyone in the state, the public wild areas may also affront potential dangers. In sum everyone should be responsible for it and government is undoubtedly to be a main strength.
