With the development of science and society, mass media, including television, movie, takes the place of primitive communication and becomes the primary source of information supplied to public. However, when people enjoy the convenience of fetching information, mass media have already influenced people’s lives in some extent.

The most benefit aspects of television or movie are sharing the knowledge and the different experiences of people around the world. Namely, some channel of scientific education, like Discovery, offer people new sights from natural animals in Africa to microbe in our body. Therefore, people can acquire knowledge and go to another part of world with TV program, only sitting at home, through the television. That all credit to the sophisticated technology and dedication of mass media.

No matter people notice that or not, our lives have changed under the influence of mass media. Television or movie often shows us the life of famous people, entertainment star or billionaire, through which people know about some different ways to live, making them become enthusiasm for. That leads people to change their own living customs, for instance, many teenages dye their hair in strange colors, dress up the things appearing in the movie or soap opera and yearn to live as the people in movie. Some philosopher said, “Aspiration is the most powerful fuel to seek”. Admittedly, mass media do offer public many aspirations.

Besides, the topic raised up by mass media also makes a huge effort of people’s life. Some special issue or arguments always easily attract people. Debating on them, people will pay more attention on the trivial things around them and reconsider whether they are right or not, which give public a good opportunity to critical thinking.

To sum up,undoubtedly, television, movies or some other types of mass media have penetrated every part of our lives and influenced them. Although at the time mass media providing the convenience for people, they bring some negative efforts, the advantage they give to people do makes us living more colorful and effective.
