In this fast-growing society, tradition, which is considered to be out of date, seems opposite with modernization, as the hallmark of high-tech and advanced mechanics. However, in my opinion, tradition and modernization are compatible because they are both rooted in the need of the need of human life.

In the first place, tradition is the handing down of information, belief, and customs from generation to generation. No doubt that the reservation and spread has its own reason-- satisfying the needs of the human beings. Not only of material need but also in the spiritual and emotional aspects. Socrates, a philosopher in Athens two thousand years ago had prompted questions like " What is love? What is truth? What is justice" , which is still the pursuit of our modern life; When it comes to the social customs, many Chinese still retain the tradition that setting off fireworks to keep away of evil and bad luck; Further more, in the field of religion: the tradition of Buddhism signifies a great spirit of mercy and sympathy for human beings; it expresses ultimate concern for human life through its great concern for the pain in that life; and Christian, which established the notion of God, is aimed at finding a fulcrum for the world, and providing a goal and ideal for human life, as well as a value system which means it possible to realize the goal. In a word, all the traditions, which have the greatest influence in the world, are closely associated with the problem of human existence, though this concern is imbedded in different ways.

Like tradition, modernization also is rooted in the need of human existence and is the embodiment of human being's desire to pursue a high level of existence. Thus, from this point of view, it is reasonable for their compatibility. In other word, tradition evolves into modernization, while modernization is the advanced phase of the traditional one. Many traditions evolve themselves to realize the combination with modernization; to meet higher need of human beings today. Rococo, which is considered to be the perfect combination of both tradition style and modern manner in the field of architecture; and Impressionism and cubism, in appliance in modern painting works, contribute so much to the modern genre of modern art. Take education for example, the multiple-media education is considered to be the perfect product of both tradition and modernization, because it remedies the disadvantage of traditional education, lack of communication and initiative, and plus the high technology and creative opinion, which are essential and important to future students.

Admittedly, the stale conventions and customs that impede the development of our society should be abandoned without doubt. The superstition, which advocates pseudoscience should recede out of the stage of our modern times, since it has been substituted by science and knowledge, indicating the correct orientation of human beings; any doubt and deviation is the challenge to the modern social system; and the discrimination, which dominates the history of human beings for hundreds of years, does no good to any aspect of the civilization of modern life, only to confuse the value and moral of human mind.

In conclusion, I strongly hold the belief that tradition and modernization are compatible. Not only because they are two relevant phases of one process, but also because they both satisfy the need of human beings. Only through the realization of the combination of tradition and modernization can we improve the development of both individual and the society.

In this fast-growing society, tradition, which is considered to be out of date, seems opposite with modernization, as(as可以去掉?) the hallmark of high-tech and advanced mechanics. However, in my opinion, tradition and modernization are compatible because they are both rooted in the need of the need of(重复了?) human life.

In the first place, tradition is the handing down of information, belief, and customs from generation to generation. No doubt that the reservation(preservation?) and spread has its own reason-- satisfying the needs of the human beings. Not only of material need but also in the spiritual and emotional aspects(这好像不是一个句子,和前面那句合并起来好一点呢). Socrates, a philosopher in Athens two thousand years ago had prompted questions like " What is love? What is truth? What is justice" , which is(are) still the pursuit of our modern life; When it comes to the social customs, many Chinese still retain the tradition that(用of好像比that更通顺) setting off fireworks to keep away of(不需要of?) evil and bad luck; Further more(Furthermore), in the field of religion: the tradition of Buddhism signifies a great spirit of mercy and sympathy for human beings; it expresses ultimate concern for human life through its great concern for the pain in that life; and Christian, which established the notion of God, is aimed at finding a fulcrum for the world, and providing a goal and ideal for human life, as well as a value system which means(makes?) it possible to realize the goal. In a word, all the traditions, which have the greatest influence in the world, are closely associated with the problem of human existence, though this concern is imbedded in different ways.

Like tradition, modernization also is rooted in the need of human existence and is the embodiment of human being's desire to pursue a high level of existence. Thus, from this point of view, it is reasonable for their compatibility(这句话读上去有点奇怪,建议:their compatibility is totally justifiable). In other word, tradition evolves into modernization, while modernization is the advanced phase of the traditional one. Many traditions evolve themselves to realize the combination with modernization; to meet higher need of human beings today. Rococo, which is considered to be the perfect combination of both tradition style and modern manner in the field of architecture(这不是一个句子,要修改一下); and Impressionism and cubism, in appliance(appliance一般只具体的器械、装置,如果要指较抽象的应用,建议用application) in modern painting works, contribute so much to the modern genre of modern art. Take education for example, the multiple-media(多媒体用multi-media) education is considered to be the perfect product of both tradition and modernization, because it remedies the disadvantage of traditional education, (namely the)lack of communication and initiative, and plus(plus和and一样的,用一个就可以了) the high technology and creative opinion, which are essential and important to future students.(教育的这个例子不错的,可是觉得你没有很好地表达出来,语言需要进一步修改)

总体印象:条理还是较清晰的,特别是最后一段总结,语言感觉稍微有点乱,就是好像不能很好地表达你的意思,加油加油!!
