my first post--大家帮我看看我好友的签经吧和她从大学起就是至交，毕业6年了，好友一直在北京工作。有房无车。年薪10万左右。最近好友生活发生了很大的变故，心情很糟。我鼓励她出国读书。现在申请到了Rice的ESL program, 一年学费2万左右。准备读一年esl，期间申请研究生院。朋友自己有2万，我和老公又提供了2万的经济担保和食宿担保（i-134）。我们知道这样的情况不是太好签，但是还是决定全力去试。准备了许多q&a， 但朋友的临场发挥不是特别好。下面是她写的签经。希望能听听大家的意见。大家有砖尽管砸吧。





7月25日上午9：30，天阴，有雨，遭遇黑色星期二。

Me: nice to meet you! Sir!

Vo: nice to meet you! So you will go to ……

Me: Rice Uni. I ‘ll go there to study English in the Intensive English language program in the 1st year. After that I ‘ll try to obtain master degree of Engineering.

Vo: after you **(没有听懂)，will you **(没有听懂)

Me: （晕，瞪眼看，没有反应过来）

Vo: after you **(没有听懂)，will you **(没有听懂)

Me: （还是没有听懂）pardon!

Vo:（指着ds-156表上写着单位的地方）你还会回到这个单位工作吗？

Me: yes, I’ll continue to work there. I am a civil engineer.

Vo: do you have any **(没有听懂，看我疑惑)，协议？

Me: no, I don’t have. I think it is not necessary for me. because I am familiar with my company . if I have stronger construction knowledge, I think they’ll  accept me.

Vo: who will support you ?





Me: myself and my good friend ***.

Vo: who is ***? why will she support you?

Me: She is my good friend. We are good friend for about 10 years. In fact we come from the same province and we studied in the same University .She thinks education is very important for everyone.

Vo: what does she do there?





Me:study.

Vo: Can you give me her **(没有听懂)

Me: (找了一会儿，找到support letter，递给他)here it is .

Vo: 不要这个，bank statement.

Me: (找到，递)

Vo: why will you go abroad to study E?

Me: First, it’s a comprehensive training for me. you must know English is very important for Chinese professional.

Vo: why is it important?

Me: There are many advanced technology in America.I have to read many English articles in my work..

Vo : sorry , I can’t give you visa because  ** strong tie **(迅速盖章，递出一张文件)

Me: but I have certificate of house property.(护照已递出，大脑空白)

简要说几点：
1。资助人最好是自己、父母、丈夫/妻子或者至少是你的亲属，朋友资助的话，这种必要性很难体现出来
2。赴美必要性没有体现出来，VO会认为去美国读语言这样的时间和金钱的投资，没有必要
3。可能存在材料不足的问题，但是目前这些信息无法分析

其实签证官还蛮NICE的， 给你很多机会。。。不过你的口语听力很烂， 所以解释不清楚。。。而且这东西一时半会提高也不容易。  所以， 我觉得你这种情况， 既然过来先学语言， 不妨试试能不能要求就用中文和签证官面签。。。但正如版主所说， 你的出去读书的必要性等几个关键问题都没有准备， 所以即使中文面签， 三个关键问题， 为什么出去， 为什么回来， 资金也要好好准备。。。
