TOPIC: ARGUMENT45 - The following appeared as an editorial in a wildlife journal.

"Arctic deer live on islands in Canada's arctic region. They search for food by moving over ice from island to island during the course of a year. Their habitat is limited to areas warm enough to sustain the plants on which they feed, and cold enough, at least some of the year, for the ice to cover the sea separating the islands, allowing the deer to travel over it. Unfortunately, according to reports from local hunters, the deer populations are declining. Since these reports coincide with recent global warming trends that have caused the sea ice to melt, we can conclude that the decline in arctic deer populations is the result of deer being unable to follow their age-old migration patterns across the frozen sea."

At first glance, the arguer's reasoning seems to be quite sound. According to his conclusion, recent global warming cause the decline in arctic deer populations. However, after careful consideration of his evidence, the argument is unconvincing for several flaws.

First of all, the conclusion is based on the questionable reports from local hunters. As we all know, hunters ,different from experts who have advance-machines, can only make the statistic from their personal observation thus the resulting will be very inaccuracy. Also, deer may find a new paradise which let them live safely without human intervene and hunters have not even found it. As a result , only they can feel is the reduction of population of deer because most of deer have already migrate to another place. Moreover, there is one important point should not be ignored that hunters' job are mainly hunting animal including deer. The reports may be more of a hint to psychology of  general population that even if the decline in deer actually happened it is not their responsibilities. Without ruling out these possibilities, the arguer cannot substantiate his conclusion.

In addition, it is too hasty conclude that global warming have caused the sea ice to melt. The arguer provide no evidence about melting of the sea ice. First, the Arctic area may remain the same temperature as before while other area suffer from the raising temperature because the global warming sprang from average temperature of the whole world rather than the polar area. Second, even arctic area become warmer, it does not necessary say that the sea ice have melt since the raising temperature does not meet zero degree. Third, even some sea ice has melt ,the deer's age-old migration patterns may not be destroyed.

What is more, even the decline of deer population really happen, the arguer too premature attribute to it as one reason is unfair. There are numerous factors that may contribute to this phenomenon such as the over-hunting of local hunters and some periodical reduction which may happened every few years for some unknow reason as well as some geographic reason such as certain ocean current which can warm enough to melt some ice . All of mentioned above, in true ,will undermine the credibility of the argument.

In sum, the argument is unwarranted merely based on the evidence mentioned in the statement.

At first glance, the arguer's reasoning seems to be quite sound. According to his conclusion, recent global warming cause the decline in arctic deer populations. However, after careful consideration of his evidence, the argument is unconvincing for several flaws.[感觉开头段很不正规,最好还是简明地把作者提到的论据之类的说一说]

First of all,[ the conclusion is based on the questionable reports from local hunters.][或者可以这样 the reports from local hunters on which the conclusion depends is questionable ] As we all know, hunters ,different from experts who have advance-machines, can only make the [statistic][statistic n.统计量 adj.统计的 改为statistics] from their personal observation[,] thus the [resulting][results] will be very inaccuracy. Also, deer may find a new paradise which let them live safely without human [intervene][interference] and hunters [have not even found it][hunting them]. As a result , [only they][指代不明] can feel is the reduction of population of deer because most of deer have already migrate to another place.

In addition, it is too hasty[to] conclude that global warming have caused the sea ice to melt. [Since]The arguer provide no evidence a[bout melting of the sea ice][that the global warming trend has caused the ice melting in arctic region]. [First,][Perhaps ] the [temperature in]Arctic area may remain the same [temperature ]as before while other area suffer from the raising temperature because the global warming [sprang from average temperature of the whole world rather than the polar area.][后面多余] Second, even arctic area become warmer, it does[ not necessary][unfairly to ] say that the sea ice have melt since the raising temperature does not meet zero degree. Third, even some sea ice has melt ,the deer's age-old migration patterns may not be destroyed.

What is more, [even the decline of deer population really happen,]the arguer too premature attribute to it as one reason is unfair.[even if the deer population is indeed declining, there is no assurance that deer’s failing to travel by ice causes that phenomenoa 感觉你这句话很不地道 ] There are numerous factors that may contribute to this phenomenon such as the over-hunting of local hunters and some periodical reduction which may happened every few years for some unknow reason as well as some geographic reason such as certain ocean current which can warm enough to melt some ice . All of mentioned above, in true ,will undermine the credibility of the argument.

In sum, the argument is unwarranted merely based on the evidence mentioned in the statement[结尾很仓促, 如果时间还够可以按照经典的格式: the arguer fails to … To strengthen the conclusion, the arguer must provide….To better assess this argument, we need information abot…]

谈点感想 你的文章好像在翻译中国句子, 感觉不太顺畅,这是我们的通病啊^_^
