I'm in the school lib now, can't either read or type Chinese

To duck:
I cannot phone u because my phone doesn't work in the US even though it IS a "QuanQiuTong".
I bought a tele-card, but I can't find a local phone on which I can use the card.
Here's a "Da Nong Cun". So long way to go from my place to Walmart. Damn...
I don't know how to cook so had some bad days b4.
But now I'm already good at cooking some soup la... wakaka...
Actually I wanna go home la...
In fact I lost one of my baggage on the way from Chicago to RPI. But now the company has found it and sent to me yesterday.
Tell others on "HK Board" that I'm fine and don't worry about me.
P.S.: Tell Celery that I will contact with her when she arrives in Boston. I may visit her soon in Sept. or sometime I'm not sure. Tell her that do bring some knifes here. And here's very very very dry. Bring some mask and lip cream here. And do bring hats.

P.S.: Can some bamboos familiar with computer commend some brand and type of laptop? I wanna buy one. But it's not convinient for me to log on internet. So I don't know much about it. And  I'm not sure about the price in the US.
But actually I prefer IBM or Apple.
I hope it won't be too heavy.

Dao Shi Cha is the most "BianTai" thing in the world.
I woke up 4:00 a.m. local time this morning and couldn't go sleep again.
So got up and cooked some meat with tomatoes and potatoes.
With the hope that this boring thing will make me feel sleepy again and go to bed, I cooked a very big "Guo".
But UNFORTUNATELY, when at noon I ate some of them, I found they are all "HU" le. Damn!!! I wasted 2 potatoes, 1 tomato and half pound of pork.
Kao again!!!!!!!

you'd better not choose "apple" for two reason
1,its laptop is not that pretty as PC
2,if you are familiar with the windows, you will find the apple's laptop is kind of hard to get used to and some software cannot operate on Mac.
so i perfer IBM.
but if you care about the appearance of the laptop, you can choose Sony since it is pretty.

actually I wanna buy a IBM too.
I don't know whether X60 is a good choice, because I love my dad's X40.
But it seems now the laptops from IBM is made in China by LENOVO.
I'm not sure about the quality of them....
And X60 is still a little bit expensive I think.

Could someone plz recommend some types of IBM laptop?

I guess soon it will be okay for me to get a cell phone.
I will get my social security number next week as aoon as I register.
The problem is that there's no local phone or internet cable in my place. It looks like the owner has canceled all the services in Summer. But he promises things will change when new semeter begins.
Moreover, these days I live my own in that big house since one of my roommates is ABC and spending vacation home in near town, the other is from Britain and hasn't arrived yet.

i bet you use electricity to cook,if u use gas, things would be much better.

so many USA students use IBM, seems quality is not a problem.
Dell is OK too, I think
