再发一篇即兴习作
whether to stay alone or to stay with friends. It is a controversial issues. one the one hand, keeping alone gives us more private space. On the other hand, living with friends gives us more opportunities to share and enjoy the communal life. Depending on personal style, I tend to prefer staying with friends, with the reasons listed as follows.
The first and most significant reason is that friends ease our pain and give us joy. When we failed , friends encourage and convince that we can win again; when we succeed, we can share happiness with them; when we are in sorrow, and feel the sky has crumbled, our friends come to console us; when we are in joy, we can enjoy the unforgettable moment with our friends. Friends, our life-long partner, company with us whenever we are happy or unhappy . It is [undoubted] (undoubtful) that our life becomes more blissful.
Furthermore, friends offer us spiritual as well as material support for our career. They, specializing in different fields, always provide inspiration for our job from a different angle of view. For instance, Vincent van Gogh produced a number of portraits of members of the Roulin family who had befriended him. [Likewise], without funds provided by Friedrich Engels, Karl Marx's research on communism would hardly be able to continue. Both example aptly illustrate the significance of friends and convince us that we can receive generous help by living with friends.
In addition, unlike infants who feel hungry and discomfort and are unaffected except by their own physical condition, as members of society, we oblige to concern others sympathetically. Since there is few chance to contact with others when leading a single life, we can say nothing of helping others. Considering these obligation, we should positively live with others and strive to be meld with their living circumstance.
Admittedly, some people are customary in living alone. In their single life, they feel freer and possess more capacious private space. When an outbreak of bubonic plague temporarily shut down University of Cambridge, Newton returned to Woolsthorpe, where he remained alone for nearly two years. During this time, he discovered the gravity, invited calculus, investigated the nature of the light. In some senses, [solitary] life brings us peaceful mind for thinking.
In sum, I hope it has been shown that living with friends is more beneficial, although solitary life is preferable by some people to some extent. With friends, our wisdom and joy doubles while our pain and sorrow halves |
