In the midst of so many evasive comments, this forthright statement, whatever its intrinsic merit, plaintly stands out as ______.

A) a paradigm
B) a misnomer
C) a profundity
D) an inaccuracy
E) an anomaly

此题给的答案是 E. 可是我觉得A 却是很扣答案。 Anomaly 是不规则，异常的意思。有贬义。从forthright, intrinsic merit, stands out 告诉我们，这个空格一定要用一个褒义，所以我以为 A) a paradigm 甚好。大家来说说看法。如果是凑答案就免了。

不论有甚么美德是吗，如果是的话就是要写一个贬义的对比
就比如说一个人都是坏，whatever her shortages，这样你在前面要说一个补偿的词，说他是好的：尽管他很坏，还是有好的
不知道我表达清楚了没有
呵呵，反而我是整个题目看不懂

最想要去的地方，怎么能在半路就返航。

其实不用whatever its intrinsic merit 这句话就可易判断了

句子意思是说在一堆让人捉摸不透的评论中，一个直白的评论显得_____
不就是anomaly(不正常) 吗？
