观点:领导接替对一个组织的成功说至关重要,但不能让每个组织都五年换一次领导, 有的组织需要稳定。
1 领导更替会带来观点的改变,用创新的方法去解决问题。
2 领导更体会是员工更加热情因为职位提升是激励员工的一个方面。
3 有的组织更注重稳定,因而更换领导要更小心, 固定的五年轮换可能不适合。
4 其他方面对一个组织的成功也很重要,但领导是最重要的,因为领导决定一个组织的好坏。
Should those in power in any professions step down after 5 years in order to success through revitalization as the speaker claimed? I concede that the alternative of leadership is indispensable for the development in that it brings fresh ideas, new styles of management and however, it is too hasty to conclude that the alternative have to take place every 5 years because some fields inherently require consistence of policies and stable.
In the first place, it is vital for the progress of a enterprise such in all areas to change its leaders in a certain time period. Recently, the most important in leading is the creativity which distinguishes the excellent leadership form the commonness, in another word, the ability to address issues in a distinct way, and always a more effective way. When the leader of an enterprise stays in the position for long, the original ideas of some major issues such as the prospects of the enterprise, the strategies of progress, and the long term plan, are limited simply because their experiences restrain their insights and scopes. And such fixed opinions, to a certain extent, impair the flourish of the company, at least not as effective as the fresh ideas. However, new leaders are very likely to bring about new ideas and visions as they conceive issues in his view distinct from the former ones. For example, Jobs, who is the founder of the Apple company, and talented both in technologies and business, came back to Apple when the company was in financial crisis, and helped the company out of trouble by directing the company to develop a creative original music player, the iPod. Though the common solutions for financial regression are cutting the cost by fire employees, or selling components of the former company, Jobs succeed by his creative method. And that is the essential values of the business leadership.
In the second place, the replacement of leadership could lead to such other benefits such as the aspirations for others, especially for younger ones, the democracy of the entire enterprise and the decrease of corruptions. If the positions of an enterprise are rarely changed, it is injurious to the enthusiasms of the stuffs in that the promotion is one attraction that inspires people to work hard. And the alternation of the leadership could enhance the transparency of the enterprise, in turn, enhance the democracy and reduce the possibility of corruption.
In the third place, though the alternation of leadership is critical to the healthy growth of an enterprise, whereas, there are still many professions that concentrate on stable and consistence which the alternation has to cautious and the hasty replacement should cause detrimental effects to the group. Hence it is better not to initialize the tenure of the position, and before the qualified candidates present themselves, it is not necessary to alter the leaders. For example, the principal of college or university could stay more than 5 years since such enterprise needs coherence steadiness rather than creative management.
At last, it is many other aspects to make the success of an enterprise, to list, the correct goals, the abundance of intellectual resources, and the grasp of opportunities. However, the effective leadership is the essential one in that all other aspects could be improved by a great leader. And the alternation of the leadership is the assurance of the effectiveness of leading.
In sum, it is an effective path to make sure the success of any enterprises by the leaders stepping down in a certain period, but we can't make it to extreme that people in power in any enterprise should step down after five years for the reason that too frequent alternation of leadership could inflict harm to some enterprises.
