issue56 "Governments should focus more on solving the immediate problems of today rather than trying to solve the anticipated problems of the future."

Nowadays as varied problems such as environments protection, threatens from terrotists, economics issue and so on emerge in endlessly, our goverments really should focus more on solving the immediate problems of today rather than trying to solve the anticipated problems of the future such as invading of ET or some collisions of planets as the author asserts. I am generally agree with him while I would like to add that the factors of future should be also included when considering how to solve the immediate problems. Only we find the way to balance the importance between present and future can we deal with the immediate problems properly and essentially for we have continuable foresight.

As we all know, one main responsibility of governments is solving the problems of society and what a stable and successful government based on is people’s high support, which is gained by the government’s effectiveachievements in many posts.In pluralistic-developing moderndays govenments should face a number of continuing problems in each aspect such as environment, social security, ecnomical and education.etc. and even one detail will cost their much time, meanwhile the efficiency is also demanded strictly by public.Therefore, that one government pays more attention to future than to present is certainly unrealistic and won’t satisy the public, immediate problems are imminent and need to be addressed first. For instance, the former Soviet devote enormous funds and laborities to the competition with US in spaceflight and military affairs for prepairing “the third war” in some unknown day it supposed and ignored the developing of other calling especially the industry, however the US didn’t. Though the latter was inferior by comparison in spaceflight and military affairs at that time, it more concerned its economic reassurance after the second world war which made the Soviet disastrous in economic and laborities. When half of the century past, Soviet was dissolved and the US has become the NO.1 in the whole world. Thus,we can conclude firstly that being blindly busy in considering and dealing with the future instead of solving the most-demanded immediate problems will finally leads the government and its people to a bad result, though the future problem maybe exist indeed.

Secondly I want to expatiate further is that the factors of future should be also included when a government isconsidering the immediate problems.Anytime it is seriously wrong when we considering present without considering the future at all., for it may bury some unknown disaster which will probably erupt in a certain day. Just like what Chinese government did in 2003 when the SARS spreaded in the whole China, even to the globe. In the early days when SARS just began to spread the Chinese government had already found it and known its strong transmission, however it considered more about the stabilty of the society than the result of the  transmission of the illness, being afraid of public’s panic if they knew the news the government decided to deny the existence of SARS, which resulted in a worse situationthat the whole contry were involved in SARS, everyday there were more than 100 person reported being infected in SARS. This situation lasted for nearly two months and wasted a number of money and lives of doctors and nurses.

In sum, we can finally make a conclusion that both immediate and future problems are important in equal, neither of them should be ignored by governments. Getting down to practicalities we may pay more attentions to present, which doesn’t mean we can ignore the future problems. As a governmentwho people rely on should do deal with the immediate problems while also considering the hidden trouble in future and find the balance between them whenever it meets with them.

总的感觉论述还是比较充分的，只是有的句子似乎故意写得很长，有些为了长句而长局就没什么意义，issue不是语言考试，虽然语言也是很重要的，但是为了写长局而埋下错误就不值得了。另外，下次是否能自己改一下拼写错误再贴上来哦~
