i am running out of time, so i will just make some breif comments.
Socialization of children can always causes hot discussion all around the world since it is a rather important process that can determine the destiny of society. Almost all of people , whether young or old ,are involved in this activity, and, because everyone involved feels the power of socialization, perhaps there is no one can deny the importance of a socialization of a child. And, (yyou dont start a sentence with "and", use however.) I am of the mind that lots of parents fail to raise their children (i think you are saying the parents failed to raise the children in the best way they could, but not failed to raise their children at all,).
From a newborn to an adult, one should learn how to behavior properly (how to behave), how to get along with other people, how to make oneself recognized by others (this is not a topic sentence). What characterizes a socialized person is that one must think independently and critically, behave properly, communicate with others effortlessly, and have a distinctive personality. All of these can guarantee them success, a bright future and an existence as an individual (syntax not ideal).
John Milton once said:" The childhood shows the man, as morning shows the day". (this is not a topic sentence) This strikingly illustrates that the child is (children are) the future of society, and how the children are educated today determines how the society goes tomorrow. Perhaps that's the reason why a lot of civilized nations across the world view education as the most important priority. What one learns at an early age always has a lifelong impact on her or his life even when she or he becomes an adult, and as a result determine the destiny of society. George Washington was educated by his father to be honest and it is this excellent character that plays an important role to lead him to be a great man who gives a newborn of a nation and society. Young Abraham Lincoln was taught by his stepmother to be tolerant which contribute to his greatness, and determine the destiny of society ultimately. Once the children are educated properly, the society will show a bright future.
But both the parents and society fail to raise children to be socialized persons. The society is laying such a heavy burden on parents that they hardly have any time to educate their children. They are too busy to even have a word with children, let alone to educate them. Some even fail to set an example to kids to be honest. Lack of communication between parents and children often makes children emotionless. As a young person, one must spend almost eighteen years or more receiving education at school. But as far as I am concerned, schools fails to provide enough skills for kids to handle social problems, and more effort should be put to help them to build up their moral standards. In addition, the media, internet, and TV are always full of violence and sex which give children a bad environment and have a negative effect on the upbringing of a child.
Something needs to be done to better socialize a child, by both parents and society. To socialize children is to promise us a better future. Parents should spend more time with their children because the upbringing is a more important career, and at the same time society should take its responsibility to create a better growing environment.
i think you are a bit off the topic,
i suggest following arguments
For
1. the social context is important in shaping a person.
against
1.The level of socialisation does not define a person and his/her contribution to the society
.
2. Everyone is a unique individual, A stereotypic "model" will not work in bring up a stereotypic "good child".
there you go. |
