Generally, Ithink a field needs to learn from other area fordeveloping. The world is a whole, and the division of different subjects ismade by human, so it is natural that different areas associatewith each other. Whether the statement that no field of study can advance significantly unless outsidersbring their knowledge and experience to that filed is true or not is discussedin the examples computer science or astronautics.
For one thing, as one ofthe rapidest developing subject computer science cannot advance without otherfield's knowledge. One notable example involves computer vision, which letcomputer learn to recognize and understand the information of images. On thebasis of medicine, especially vision this branch of computer science was builtand widely apply to our daily life such as intelligent transportation systemand motion image analysis system. Computer network security one of the hottestareas of computer science is due to theoverflowing computer viruses on the Internet. As the computer scientistsconjure up how to let computer learn to protect itself, the immunity provides the best answer to this question. Using theidea of immunity computer scientists could (用完成时怎么样?) inventa revolutionary firewall. Donald.E.Knuth, who won the Turing Awardthat is the computer science's 'Noble Prize' in 1970, ever emphasis theimportance that art affects the computer programming(最后一句话来的有些突兀,可以考虑加一些连接词).
For another thing, theastronautics show how different fields contribute to its fast developing.Apparently, mechanics, aerodynamics, material science are useful for designingan engine of the space shuttle. In Chemistry, fuel technology help to provide the fuel of spaceship; Software engineering, embedded application technology, applicationmathematics(appliedmathematics) help to make the control system of it;Even geometry and weather influence to this fieldwhich help to decide where the space center canbe and when the space shuttle can be sent. Each of these different science andtechnology cannot be replaced or eliminated, and they all play a big role inastronautics. In the light of the foregoing examples, we could know that manydifferent areas are responsible for significant development of astronautics.
The other face of the coin,so to speak, is not examined in the statement. The development of a fielddepends not only on the help from other subjects but on the basis of its own.Talking the computer science for exampleagain, although it learns from different branches of science and technology, the core of it, datastructure and programming language, for instance, always play an important rolein its development. And the status of these subbranches will not be shadowed bylearning from outsiders' knowledge. From Alan Turing to John von Neumann to AndrewChi-Chih Yao, many many(so many) computer scientists devote to this field. I thinkthis is one of the most important reasons why computer science develops so rapidly and play so significant role in modernsociety.(从另一面谈,还是很不错的抓住了突破口,个人认为还是相当困难的,做得不错)
In many branches of knowledge outer fields of them do indeed speedtheir development. And the tendency is more and more apparent. Nevertheless, the statement is too absolute a statement to be true(all-sided). A subject needs a balance between learning fromothers and growing by itself. To some extent, a subject isjust like a student, who shouldwork hard by himself and communicate or discuss with other students, then hewill have the chance to make a big progress.
总体来说,写的不错,综合考虑了多方面的情况,希望能够在语言的运用和具体例子的使用上再努努力,大家一起加油吧. |
