找好例子就直接打了，速度比原来先写一边可能慢了一点，而且这篇字数有点多，所以时间有点长。

103. "The study of history has value only to the extent that it is relevant to our daily lives."  只有在历史研究与我们的日常生活相关的前提下，历史研究才有价值。

提纲：
1 开头：分析历史研究和日常生活的相关程度，我把历史研究和日常生活的分为直接相关和间接相关。提出我的观点。

2和日常生活直接相关的历史研究毫无疑问是有价值的。例如，中医历史的研究，

3但是，如果作者认为只有那些与日常生活直接相关的历史研究才有价值的话，我认为这是不对的。那些与日常生活非直接相关的历史研究往往也十分有意义。对历史上伟大人物的研究是有意义的，我们可以从伟大人物身上学习精神动力。

The statement is a little vaguein the conception that study of history relates to our daily life. Generally, the relation between all the study of history and our daily lives is existed. But some historical studies directly link to our lives, and the other are related to our common lives indirectly. It is no doubt that the first kind of study is valuable such as the study to Chinese ancient medicine. However, if the speaker considers the second kind of study is worthless, I cannot agree with him or her. The examples from the aspect of spirit and failure show the value of this kind of historical study.

The study of history which links to our daily lives directly is significant to us. One telling example is from the study of Chinese ancient medicine. Most of Chinese medicine, herbal medicine and acupuncture, for example, depend on the ancient textbooks such as Nei Ching which is written by Emperor Huang Ti between 479 and 300 BC, and it still important in china and more and more popular in other countries. The study of ancient Chinese medicine books is related to our daily lives directly and it has important applications, and will help the physicians to cure the disease of patients.

However, if the statement limits the relational range between the study of history and our daily lives only to the first kind of historical study, the statement is flawed. Although the second kind of historical study seems to be indirect to our lives, it still important to us, even influence us fundamentally. The study of the great historic person is significant, we could learn spiritual dynamic from their story. The world-renowned French chemist Louis Pasteur, who came from poor, made up his mind not to loiter his time away when he was a boy. Through his life, his virtue of persistence, industry, and the spirit of hard work contribute to his tremendous success. His efforts are indescribable, even when his father and daughter died off and he was bespattered by malicious gossips, he always work against the clock. In 1868, he got brain hemorrhage suddenly, then he became half paralyzed, but he cannot forget his work and study, when made a little progress he went on his research. From his striking story, we can learn the spirit of persistent struggle and encourage us to overcome the difficulties.

The study to historic failures is important to us as well. No matter the failure is from a person or a country, it is instructive for us to avoid making the same mistake again. Hsiang Yu, King of Chu, who is a famous general in the late Qin Dynasty, ever routed most of his opponent’s troops, then became Arrogant and proud. At last, he was defeated in Xiahai. From it we know that the one who is proud too much will fail at last. A mistake of a country is very important to many other countries, too. A good example is Chinese history. The most prosperous dynasty in Chinese history--Tang Dynasty, is open and actively communicates with other countries. But in the modern time, especially after the mid-time of Qing Dynasty, the government adopted a closed-door policy, then China was going to the dogs. All the countries should learn a lesson from this case.

At last, because the statement has not show the exact implication that the study of history relates to the human lives, the statement's meaning is obscure. If the speaker considers that only the historical research that directly links to people's lives is value. It is too absolute to right. The other kind of the historical study is significant to us as well, sometimes it plays a more fundamental role in our lives.

个人觉得你这周太累了，能完成作业已经很不容易了。
但这篇写的估计是匆忙了点，我觉得语言没有以前用的好，还有不少短句都有中式思维痕迹，好好加油兄弟，把语感先表达出来，对用词的追求是其次。

北美上也用了类似的例子，但说的是 student inspired by great explorer's spirit, would make a dicision to be a man like the explorer, in turn, this dicision can affect his everyday life. 大体就是这个意思，我觉得用这个例子来表示indirectly还是有点危险，应该是直接相关的。

你看我理解的对不对哈，我是这个意思，我们平时觉得可以不关心的，比如国家的政策，谁当了总统之类的这些东西，都是与生活间接相关的。为什么呢？你可以不管谁当了总统，他不能直接管到你，甚至他发动战争你也许不用当兵，但是敌人的飞机来轰炸了，就关系到你的生活了，这才是indirectly。
什么是directly呢？邻居把我们自行车推到了却不管不问，这就是directly。

用在历史上也一样，我们学到的前人政治，经济，战争这些决定政府和社会工作的，就是indirectly
但是我看了一本文天祥的书，我决定舍身取义，这就是directly

所以我想这个问题你最好在考虑以下，我可能说得也不对，我就是说说我的理解

直接不直接容易钻到里面，就说明显与不明显吧，这样可能会好一点。
