正文
I strongly agree with the speaker that government should preserve publicly owned wilderness areas, no matter how remote these areas might be. I insist the viewpoint for three compelling arguments, which would be discussed in turn.

To begin with, none could deny that the demolishment of wilderness areas would threaten the survival of various kinds of precious species and even the survival of humankind as a result. From the ancient time to modern society, human have gained resource like field, lumber, and coal mine by exploiting more and more wilderness areas, which, as we know, are often the habitats of many precious species. A retrospect to history reveals that more and more species have died out due to human activities with the fast development in industry, agriculture, technology etc.. Scientific facts point out that, in primitive time there were one species died out every thousand years; 200 years ago, four species extinct per year; now, however, more than 10 species die out everyday! Environmental experts point out that each species has to depend on many others for its survival. Thus, since human beings are a species in the biosphere, they cannot exempt from the principle. Apparently, if government does not take any effective measure to prevent people from destroying wilderness areas, human activity would threaten their own survival some day.

In additional, we should also preserve remote areas for the reason that the destruction in these areas might exerts deleterious effects on the world as a whole. The over deforestation of tropic rain forest is ant apt example for this point. Motive by profits, people began deforestation in the tropic rain forest, which is far away from human habitats. The undue deforestation set into motion a chain of animal extinction as well as the destruction of aerosphere. Plants in the tropic rain forest absorb CO2 and produce oxygen for the earth. Accordingly, due to the undue deforestation in tropic rain forest, the density of CO2 increased, and therefore the temperature over world rose, which result in iceberg in Antarctica thaw out. Consequently, sea level around the world rose. In short, although the tropic rain forest is remote, the demolishment there might also be a disaster to human beings.

Finally, it is the government's duty to preserve these areas in that the potency of individual or nongovernmental organization is too weak to suffice to serve the goal of protect these areas from destroy. Take the protection of Tibetan Antelope for illustration. Before Chinese government adopted effective measures to protect the rare species, there was a non-governmental organization called wild yak team combated with those evil poachers. However, these were various difficulties for them to reach the goal of protect these species form extinction. The first has to do with the granted rights. This organization has no right to punish those poachers; therefore all they can do is to prevent those poachers from killing Tibetan Antelope. This activity, however, is far too insufficient to protect the species. The second difficulty is that the organization does not have enough money to continue the combat with poachers. Because most of their time is spent on protecting Tibetan Antelope, they do not have time to earn money for their own survival, let alone the funds for guns, cars, and other equipments that help to combat with the poachers. Apparently, only government has the legal right and enough funds to prevent environmental problems from worsening.

In sum, due to the reasons mentioned above, we can safely draw the conclusion that we should preserve wilderness areas including those remote ones. And it is the undeniable mission for government to do so.

没什么好改的,结构完整,论证清楚,例子也举得很贴切。
