154. "Both parents and communities must be involved in the local schools. Education is too important to leave solely to a group of professional educators."
父母和社会都必须参与到地方的学校中。教育太重要了以至于不能把教育完全交给一群职业教育者。

教育者的优势，专业知识背景，专业教学方法，长期的教学经验。在教授知识发面是绝对有优势的，只要在学校，孩子们基本上可以得到比较全面，系统的教育。从小学到大学，系统的知识体系。教育的不足，在做人处事，生活意义等方面有时候显得无力，只有通过其他力量来平衡。

父母是最好的补充，也是同等重要的一个方面。父母对孩子的了解，对孩子的学前教育，对孩子的直接影响，言传身教，都十分宝贵。

社区是另一个重要的方面，社区是个最隐蔽的covert教育者。孩子们有相当的时间去观察周围的人的行为，语言，他们有时候，想对于老师和家长，他们更倾向于模仿陌生人的举止，比如打架 quarrel and fight 啊，抽烟喝酒啊，甚至犯罪，学校教育和家庭教育都不会提倡的promoted东西，他们看到后觉得好奇curious和刺激stimulative ，就会模仿copy those rascals’ behaviors，所以社区的环境，特别是孩子们容易接触的地方，应该十分注意管理，形成一个良好的氛围。

教育者，父母，和社区各有不同的角色，所以不应该把他们统一到学校教育中来。只要各尽其责就可以了，并且保持好时常的联系，交流经验，互相指出彼此需要改进的方面。比如学校可以偶尔对家长进行访问调查，社区可以开展针对学生的社会教育活动，让校方与父母协助完成。而不是父母经常到课堂监督，社区去整天去学校表现对教育的热忱。


The speaker asserts that, given the undeniable importance of education, not only those professional educators but also the parents and the communities must be involved in the local schooling. I strongly agree with the fact that, education had better makes parents and communities taking part in. If there is one—which I take leave to doubt—then it is that the distinction between schooling and education implied is important. Therefore, parents and communities have responsibilities to play roles in education but not necessary involved local schooling directly.


Professional educators have much many advantages in diverse respects, such as their educational background, their professional and instructive methods, their abundant experience and the like. Consequently, when one child who has been sent into school and educated by those professional teachers, his or her parents should be content in the facet of their acknowledge study. If there still are something concerned them, it might be that they are unease about the teachers who could not pay enough attention to their kid’s spirit and moral conditions. That worry seems to be logical and rational, since it is the weak point of professional educators. Consider, how many students in one classroom? Maybe twenty, or maybe thirty, but no matter what the number is, there is only several teachers. That is impossible that a single teacher to know each student's concrete condition and to deal its problems in time, physical as well as spirit.

However, the parents should not worry about their kids severely, the shortage of professional educators just be the one which the parents took advantages in. Parents are teachers of their children at first. They know that teaching character is a difficult task, but it is a crucial work, because they desired their children to be healthy, happy, and successful but decent, strong, and good. They also concerned children's every detail at home, and understand them beyond their teachers, who are expected to take care of children in such a way and generally not strong willing as those parents.
  
The other one crucial role in education is the communities. Even if it does not make direct functions to the children as the two above, its importance does not discount any more. Usually, the circumstance of communities, especially the places where could be touched by children, take a covertinfluence that effect children's growing unawares. Children have certain instincts which made them inclined to copy other strangers’ behaviors only if they observed, in fact, they real have considerable time to contact with strangers. For instance, if a school settled at a chaos street where congested humans who are favor in quarrel and against each other, abuse alcohol, over smoking, even crimes. The students will be able to replay their behaviors in classrooms. Therefore, the communities have obligations to set up a clear environment for the new generation.

To sum up, no matter the professional educators, parents or communities that they have respective functions and influences upon children. They should to intensive contact with each other in proper ways. Such as communities holding some activities invited parents and teachers and children in order to get attitudes from and give proposes to the others, enhance their communications and understandings. Meanwhile, they need trust each others and not interrupt others’ work frequently. When good teaching is combined with high levels of parental and communities’ involvement the results can be even more perfect.
