开头：作者说在电视时代，读书的作用已经不重要了，因为电视教给人们的东西可以和书媲美。这种说法确实有一定道理，我非常不同意作者说人们从电视里学到的和书籍一样多。首先，书籍受电视的影响没有新闻报刊严重，其次，电视对书的影响没有INTERNET对书的影响大；反过来，新闻报刊没有因电视而消亡，书籍也没有因为INTERNET而没有市场，所以更不用说电视能把书籍取代了。

首先，电视确实改变了人们的生活，在记录生活，播放新闻，等等各方面的及时速度方面都超过了书籍，甚至快于报刊。我们可以从电视上看到从明星到普通群众的生活纪实，看到政治选举，法庭审判，卫星发射，电影，音乐等等，这些信息丰富多彩，并且让人们接受起来比书本快的多，很多人甚至看新闻都依靠电视，这多少影响了报刊的销售，也影响了书的销售，但不如报刊严重，即便如此，

书有电视无法取代的优点：记录知识，可以反复阅读，阅读中可以做笔记，留标签，形成自己的学习方式，但是电视不可以，电视只是被动的接受，人们甚至不能有时间深入的思考就过去了，比如看

另一方面，如果说电视对书的影响大的话，这在今天看来都有点落后了，因为现在INTERNET和电视普及度差别越来越小，比如说在大学里，普及度甚至高于电视，但是INTERNET没有能把书籍比下去，电视更加不能办到：PALAPALA~~ unpopular as a communication,

所以，作者的结论是没有根据的，是一种偷懒的想法，因为读书是比较辛苦的，不如看电视接受知识方便，但是读书和电视的感受是不同的，一个深刻，一个快速，所以

The speaker asserts that at this era of TV, reading books is an old fashion for learning knowledge, since they two could educate people in a same extent. However, I strongly disagreed that the TV is able to instead of books in the domain of learning. First, consider, newspapers actually are more influenced by TV than the books are. In addition, Internet is press more presures than TV on the books. Whereas, neither TV replaced newspaper nor Internet distoried books. Consequently, TV seems unlikely to take the place of books.

To the beginning, TV really is playing a significant role in our daily life nowadays. Instant news report, politics, sports or business, all could be learned at first time. For instance, everyday we through watching TV acknowledge the newest information about the wars about Mid-eastern, or election of France which happened yesterday. We also could view the lived games of NBA, see my favorite big man, Kobe. It is hard to imagine that all those matters read from books, maybe when you get such a book, it has passed several years.

However, all things mentioned above are simply belonged to the instant part. When it comes to the instant things, many people accustomed to associate the newspapers. If followed the logic of the speaker, we could safely draw a conclusion that the newspapers ought to fade away for decades. But it is not the case, newspaper is alive, and selling as well as it was in the past. Further more, given that the books affected of TV no more than the newspapers do, it is obviously that TV would not be instead of the books.

The same, an increasing number of people, especially the youth at colleges, might be thought that TV, in a sense, is not as popular as Internet on the ways of communication. Consider, Internet is rapidly expand its boundaries, particularly at the campuses, yet has a considerable popularize, even has been exceed the TV sets. At the Internet, not only could we get the news in the shortest time, but also the usable informations we desired or papers of our majors both could be downloaded. Although there is more convinient than books to aquire those things, however, we still not throw books away, On contrary, we used the books unless than ever time before.

You must want to ask: Why? Why this happen? Or, yes, that is the fact. Following, let me make some explanation for my discussions above. In common sense, we usually used books in such a way: we could make own records any place, and make a label each page, and reviewed in any time. Book, it is there, keeping silence utile you go to take it, unlike the TV, you must sitting there ahead it waiting for the programs of your expectation. In other words, book is under our control and at the hands in convenience, but we make ourselves merely a poor audience of TV. Somewhat, indeed, human are becoming more lazy than step by step, in that the development of technologies as TV, Internet and as like. If there is one—which slowing this step--it is the books, only the books yet demanded people to thought deeply individually.

In sum, even if the books are weakened by TV and other instant document tools, they still playing a vital role in our ordinary life and, especially, in the domain of learning. After all, after those discussions above, we can make a sound conclusion that, TV can not equal to the books for there is something unique concealed in the latter but not the former.
