随着人类文明的进步，人们对待非主流的态度也发生了本质变化，大部分人，尤其是年轻人，很多时候把它们作为娱乐，比如现在 INTERNET 上有许多关于十二星座，它们利用星座算运势，性格，等等。我和我的许多同学都接触过，大部分时间都是怀着好玩的心态，所以不会带来很大的影响和坏处。这表明一种趋势，非主流的东西会逐渐淡化，不再像古代那样左右大部分人的思想。

In ancient Rome, special priests called augurs predicted the future by interpreting certain signs in nature. The ancient Greeks consulted oracles, who supposedly learned of future events by speaking directly with the gods. Those societies’ pursuits, in a sense, mirrored that the mystic areas like psychic and paranormal really held the mainstream areas at that ancient times.

For many years, scientists have rejected the principles of those nonmainstream areas. However, millions of modern people continue to believe in or practice them. Astrologers believe that the position of astronomical bodies at the exact moment of a person’s birth and the subsequent movements of the bodies reflect that person’s character and destiny. To some degree, they meet the psychological needs of human beings. In the society full with drastic competition and adventure, it is inevitable for a large portion of people to generate a sense of frustration and crisis. Undergoing such experiences, people instinctively need to seek an approach that enable them to release from anxiety and direct them a right path to success. Those nonmainstream areas such as astrology which tell people their future fate and how to proceed in life, therefore, they become the target they resort to naturally.

Given that those nonmainstream areas have been weakened severely, along with the improvement of human civilization, this trend will be enforced. More and more people have turned their attitudes of fortune-telling and astrology to entertainment. For instance, many people around me, especially my classmates, favor in constellation, which include Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio and so forth, just as a funny for test themselves characters. But they never adore with overdrawing at those things. Consequently, in future, after most human beings could receive higher and sound education, those nonmainstream areas will perish itself keeping a silence.

To sum up, considering those nonmainstream areas deeply affected human beings in history, there is an undeniable fact that those pursuits which the speaker lists are likely to offer many people psychological solace or entertainment, thereby they are going to function for a considerable period in future. However, indeed, they are gradually diminishing inevitable.

你这样就有点乱了，上面两段要么你写成古代和现代，要么写成non-main满足，main满足。其他的你就不要乱加了。不然两段根本就不配合
