        The universe around us presents a seamless web of physical and anthropogenic forces, which interact in ways that can be understood only in the context of a variety of disciplines. Different subjects always have certain relationships to some extent. As a result of this, significant advances in study require expertise from various fields. To illustrate this point clearly, here’re several persuasive examples
First of all, architecture’s progress is greatly influenced by other fields. In ancient times, constructions cannot be too high, because of the limit of technology. With the development of mechanics and materials, today we can build several hundred meters high building. Beside of this, people begin to pursue more usages and enjoyableness of modern life from constructions, which demands high quality of fabric and materials design. As a result of this, architect needs help from engineers majoring in mechanics and materials who can give important suggestion on the design. The whole effect of expression also depends on expertise from art. A new invention or development of art may bring in a revolution on concept or measure of design for architecture.
        On the contrary, the demand of new technology supporting structures will put forward questions in the research of mechanics and materials. Working on these questions will make a great deal of contribution to these subjects. Also, architect can bring new ideas of context of space and effect of light and dark to the artists. Through this cooperation, architecture and the study of fields will make many strides.
        Medical science is another strong example to demonstrate this opinion. Before a medicine enters the market, it will take a long time to make preparation which involves research on a new disease, work on products of medicine, long term work on patients who volunteer to take the medicine and sale strategy. It will take a long time to know a new disease because it usually has many same symptoms as the old ones. To recognize the new disease, researchers on biology will study the origin of the disease to make sure what kind of bacteria or virus cause the disease. Then, according to the knowledge of the biologists, experts of medical devote to the production of medicine or vaccine. During this time they will have to adjust their research at any time when the mutation[突变] takes place. After the medicine or vaccine produced, long-time-check on volunteered patients begins. A multitude of records and data should be counted, which needs mathematics. Ultimately, experts of economy will give advice on sale strategy.
In sum, no area of intellectual inquiry operates in a vacuum. Because sciences are inextricably related, to advance our knowledge in any one area we must understand the interplay among them all. Moreover, it is our non—scientists who make possible the science, and who bring meaning to what we learn from it.
