The benefits of the non-mainstream researcher,astrology, fortune-telling and paranormal pursuits, are particularly obvious.They make so many people feel better with themselves, especially in such astrongly pressure society. How will you face the deed that your loved one hasgone? Astrology predicts your loved onewill live in the heaven, wherethere is no pain, no war, no starve any more, in where people become angle livewith a free life. Such a fantasy afterlife consoles people, who no longer upsetwith the fact their loved has gone. How do you release yourself living in sucha fast rhythm community？ Non-mainstream music, pour relax, unbend into your dailylife. Many people, including myself, prefer to play non-mainstream music,whether in office or in the car, to release the strain coming from work,family, or even society.

However, achievements of non-mainstreamarea of inquiry bring us nothing but self-satisfy. If a person who determineseverything by fortune-telling or astrology will bring a bad consequence in hislife. Perhaps, he will lose a superexcellent occasion to have prompt due torely upon the fortune-telling, which predict he shouldn’t go out because itwill have an accident. On the other hand, the developing of technology will be baffledif our society believes in the non-mainstream inquiry. People solve problem bypursuits, fortune-telling but not technology and science.  

Furthermore, compare with mainstream science,non-mainstream area of inquiry is less important in people’s social live. Forinstance, if a person gets ailment, non-mainstream inquiry will guide you tobless to God, compared with it, mainstream science will lead you to have atreatment in hospital, which really have effective help to the state of theillness.

In sum, non-mainstream area of inquiryindeed has some effect in society, but it cannot play a vital role comparedwith mainstream science.
