Whether education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interest of each student? In my observation, education should pay more attention on needs and the interests of students, yet it is impossible for designing unique education to suit every student. We should consider more objective and subjective conditions which has influence of the effective education.

To begin with, it is necessary to define the function and purpose of the education, and how to enable the education to be more effective and efficient. The mission of the education is to develop and cultivate the characteristic and personality of the individual to be honest to the country, responsibility to the society, family, friendly to relatives and so forth.

There is famous saying goes by Einstein, "interest is the best teacher."  As a student, it is entirely possible that interest can instill the refresh energy and inspiration to dedicate them to study. Taking Edison for instance, Edison was a naught boy when he was young, he always get the lowest grades in his curriculums; yet, just by his enthusiasm and strong interest to scientific fields, he become the most significant inventor, creating hundreds of creatures to serve to humankind and enhance human living standards. However, nowadays, most our curriculums are dull, boring, rigid with little flexibility. It is largely impede student’s creative and innovative thinking.

Therefore, designing a specific education to satisfy individual needs is very important. First and foremost, talents need specialized and unique training due to the fact that they are more intelligent and learn more quickly compared with other common students. They do not satisfy the knowledge learned in class, and it is waste time and energy to keep the pace with classes. Mozart, the most typical musical composer, represent of the classicalism in Vienna. His gorgeous contribution result in his father’s supports and cultivation. Unfortunately, many talents who equip some prior potential will be detrimental and lost gradually. On the contrary, student-oriented education is the most effective way to help students learn more and understand more. Only the students have the intense will to learn rather than enforced by teachers or parents, they will learn more efficient and effective. Only when the education is specifically designed to meet individual needs and interest of each student, can the student's potential be full motivated.

However, no education system can suitable for every different student. On the one hand, there are numerous limitations, such as human resources, teaching facilities, finance and so forth, which might be detriment the effective of the education. On the other hand, even assuming all the conditions are prepared, we should not ignore what kinds of interest students have. （感觉是不是转折的有点突然, 我想说 即使条件成熟， 我们也无法为每个学生design，因为孩子们的兴趣不一定都是正确的）In fact, many students are blind to some fields and could not distinguish the good and evil to some degree. Without right instruction and direction, they will indulge in certain bad habits(这句我也觉得有点很中式，不知道怎么改), such as fighting, robbing, gambling est. Beside, if students only concentrate on some certain subjects who they like best and neglect others they are dislike, it is possible that these subjects they do not like are some basic subjects as math, philosophic. Is it subject they do not need to learn if they do not like? If in this way, our purpose of education will undermine, society not only need specialists but more important the generalists and well-round person. Education should meet social requirements and accelerate the promotion in the development of our society. Hence, over-specified education will narrow down student's ken and capability. Nevertheless, winking at student’s unreasonable desire would only result in chaos in education.


Taking all the facts into consideration, education should adopt some principles under some circumstance. Encouraging students to participant in variety of actives out classes, judging students abilities no long only by the examinations and consider others potentials. Giving more room for students to choose their majors and curriculum freely. (这句话有语病， 能帮我改改吗) Enlighten students to develop more healthy and meaningful interests. All in all, only when it is combine specifical designing curriculum with generally subjects to meet the individual needs and interests, education will truly effective,.
