The discussion of the high controversial issue that whether the individual should needs and interests of each student are met by designing specifically has come into vogue during the last decade? Just what is the dangerous of the speaker's claim? Judge should be dispersed. It's tempting to agree with the recommend which is plausible on the surface, but further reflection tells me that the practical problem and some other potential harmfulness are really outweigh the benefit in certain degree. I think the limited resource in the society and general education is also critical for people’s successions though pursuing interest is really conductive to stimulate passion of study.

On one hand, to meet all the individual needs and interests of each student is impossible for the limited education resource provided but the society and such difference among the individual's interests and needs. It's obvious that number of the students is rather much more than the teachers and the institutes in the school are too limited to meet all the student's need. So, it’s impossible for us to try our best way to meet the individual's need.

On the other hand, barely depending upon the interest of the student’s interest, specialists who only master the bound of his interest’s region may be created frequently. Specifically designed education cause the overwhelm specialist. The general education is also critical for graduators making contribution to the society improving. Over-specialist education may cultivate the one who cannot look through enough broad picture of the world and so may be not able to make effective decisions to meet the need of the society. Although the specialist can improve skills of industry and technology, they may fall into the pitfall of the ever-changing society. As the developing of the technology , the tests are becoming more and more complex, so the need of the generalist are necessary for ensuring we are still in the path of the developing society. It's not necessary and not beneficial for the society only provides designed education to meet the individual needs and interests of students.

Admittedly, the interests of the individual should be cultivated because it can stimulate the passion of studying and they can study more with interest and make more contribution to the society. For example, Van Gogh, who created the impressionism on painting, nowadays one of whose living pictures have been auctioned as the highest price which broke the record, but he had soled only one of his pictures during his whole living time. However, he pursued his ideal and faith until he could not pick up a pencil. And the motivation for Webster to compile the Webster Dictionary which has been becoming the standard of English is nothing but interest. This story tells me the simple and obvious truth that one's interest can make greatness if only they are cultivated beneficially to society. So, the education should also try to meet the individual's interest.

All in all, it's very likely that not all the people can reach the same point that I have discussed above. But I believe that realizing the significant of the general education and the balance between the limited resources in the society and the needs of the individuals the limited is the first to make our pupils all can make greater contribution to the society in the whole. And as the backup of the education, universities and colleges should provide the effective condition to meet the individuals' needs as much as they can.
