    I concede the assertion that money spend on research is a good investment,since research can speed the pace of the improvement of human society.On the other hand,I really doubt the idea that whether money spent on the controversial research is still advisable investment.To defense myself,I'll give my contention in the objectives and the nature of the research as below.
    It is undoubt that invest money in research is always a great choice.There is a old saying in china goes liek that:"If you plant a seed of melon,you will gain melons;if you plant a seed of bean,you will gain beans",that means what you gain is due to what you pay.Through  research,we can gradually discover the unknown part of the world.Though the world seems infinite to exploit,we human beings really gain a lot from keep on unvailing it.We can enlarge our knowledge about the world and then in turn solve the existant problems which can't be tackled before.For example,though research on medicine,we can now effectively solve kinds of cancers.In the near future,it's undoubt that we would finally elimilate the problem of cancer.
    However,before we make a decision to begin a research,we'd better think twice.Not all of the research finally turns out satisifaction to us.First,we should consider the foudamental objectives of the research.Is the objective too vague to reach?Is the objective beyond the capabilities of the research members and the resources prepared?will the Investment finally turn out to have anticipated outcome?If we didn't consider all this,we might encounter debacles.In the Reagan time,the govenment invest in a project called "star war".The original consideration of the govenment is to research the future star war defense system to forestall the potential war in outer space.But it turnd out impractical and finally failed.If The huge amount of money had been invested in solving the current social problems such as AIDS and the homelesses,it will come out a more stable soceity.If we say that the wrong investment in a developed country is inadvisable,then the same thing on a developing country would lead to disastrous results.Like Iran and India,which both keep on pouring huge money in investing atom arms but failed to use the money to help the poor civilians keep from starven.
    Besides,many reseach problems,which originally thought to be huge benefits to human,finally turns out to have more negative effects or may be benefit in the short run,but turns out to be disasters in the long run.Like the research of atom energy.The original purpose of the researchers is to find a perfect alternative energy to the human soceity and finally,it did work.It actually turned out to be an effective energy,but by the way of radiation it harmes people now and then,even make their offsprings disabled.Even worse,some countries' govenment even using it to make the atom bombs,which proved to be the most horrible weapons of the world.Another example is the genetics research,scientists always propagandizes that it's for our human species' sake,it can eventually wipe out all the diseases by changing the genes of us.But behind the dazzling halo of this glorious project are the severe betray of our moral standands and the possible danger of our species.
    So,in conclution,keep on spending money on research is a unavoidable process for our soceity,but before we start doing it,we had better give it an assessment first,from anticipating the various possible results of the project.We must find the balance point.In one word,we should invest in the research truly for the sake of our human beings.

没想到，第一篇就让我来改，呵呵。 立论很好，行文很流畅，尤其第二，三个BODY， 而且词汇也很丰富 ，在句式上还可以再加强。另外就是文章中拼错得单词比较多， 是不是限时后没有修改得原因，如果限时都能写出这么好得文章，已经很不错了
