One of the main differences between human beings and other animals is that we can enjoy various kinds of arts. Art, accomplished with the development of human, has been advanced itself and show the general ideas and impulses of the public. Nevertheless, a few of art masterpieces supply hints for us to discover thinks and powers which cannot be easily founded. In fact, arts both show the well-known ideas and impulses and discover new thinks and ideas for the public.
Art have countless incarnations including painting, music, sculpture, literature as well as poem. Fundamentally, all of them serve to supply enjoyment and pleasure to people. Meanwhile, spiritual thoughts combined with philosophy ideas are transferred through arts as educational lectures. Since the attractive educational function, governments employ arts to shove the development of the society and scholars use them to transmit the civilization and improve the culture.
Art is apt to exhibit the public views and main impulses of our society. In the past, rich men usually employed musicians and painters to help them setup their reputation. Liszt, a famous musician, received the warmly welcome from rich men and meanwhile creating many works that represented the mainstream view. Nowadays, governors advocate national policies and ideas through the help of artists. In fact, those who choose art as their career become the mirror of society and the generator of the nation.
More and more essays and paints now show the ideas in corner. With the advancement of the civilization, writers and painters as well as other artisans can freely express their ideas which are always permitted by the government and arouse controversial cares in the public. Thus, ideas which are not easily founded now come before us. Van Gogh, a painter lived one hundred years ago, showed his talent in his paints. Although his great works do not recognized by his contemporary society, he set the milestone of postimpressionism and the prize of his works rised directly soon after he died. The ideas expressed by Van Gogh show his outstanding insight and wisdom, which are obviously prior to the society.
The impulses of a society sometimes discovered or even generated by artists. As one of the key characters, an artist keeps his or her enthusiasm to life. Beethoven created a new era of music because of his royal to life and what he composed brought throng to the new era too. The process is full of obstacles. The earlier works of Beethoven were not popular among people because they were quite different from the traditional ones. However, real great and classic works always need patience and serve as power to help the society upgrade the atmosphere of itself. It is obvious that without the style which created by Beethoven, people's taste will keep its foot there. Another convincing example of this kind is the fact that scientists capture their innovation not only from daily life but always from fictions which image and dream about life of ordinary people and society with different organization. Literature thus impulses the improvement of human beings through expressing wishes to future which can hardly be founded through daily life.
Art pretend to be a mother who takes care of our life without neglecting any details; meanwhile, art take the responsibility of a father who try his best to guide us with a long view and deep insight. In fact, society needs art to sustain its harmony and people require art in order to experience unprecedented new life. Therefore, it is the obligation of the artists to keep the balance between exhibiting prevail ideas and powers and discovering thinks and impulses under the surface of our daily life. |
